Nature of the Role :  - Develop and build a strategic road map for creating a winning product portfolio for Prajavani (Kannada daily news paper) at The Printers (Mysore) Private Limited, Create benchmarks to measure product performance on regular basis by analyzing and decoding research inputs and close monitoring of competition product offerings.   - Working proficency in Kannada & English is a must   - This position will report to the Head Brand Strategy and Development   - Work closely with the research teams to provide structured reader insights, feedback and suggestions on the overall product portfolio.   - Regular interface with editorial teams to plan product specials and reader promotions which impact product performance and create stickiness for the brand. Play a meaningful role in ensuring all edit properties and events are rolled out as per plan   - Generate new ideas to build product differentiators within the product portfolio.   - Create and manage all reader engagement programmes for the brand. Plan for anticipated big news events and create opportunities for reader engagement as well as for advertiser monetization.   - Plan clutter breaking product innovations which help create a positive word of mouth.   - In-charge of product profitability (P&L) and be responsible for cost control.   - Work closely with media sales teams to execute large advertiser product innovations and manage product deliverables for sponsors for large media event.   - Effective coordination with internal departments like Editorial, Circulation, Media Sales & Production, to deliver on marketing projects with maximum efficacy.   Required skills and experience :  Language : Read, write and speaking in Kannada & English is a mandatory   Qualification : Graduate in Mass Communication (Journalism) + MBA (Marketing)   - 8-10 years + of work experience in the media industry will be preferred   - A balanced and mature candidate with good influencing and team working skills.   - Sound understanding of content business and consumer insights   - Local resident of Bangalore will be a preference
