Vision of the R&C unit is to be a partner of choice for BFSI customers in meeting their R&C challenges, and transform their Risk, Compliance and Finance function and technology through our thought leadership, innovative solutions & business models and effective partnerships”  And R&C unit is developing strong capabilities and focus on risk and compliance for BFSI firms through:  - Strong Thought Leadership across R&C initiatives in BFSI like Basel III, Solvency II, Dodd-Frank, Tax Compliance, Centralized Compliance and Reporting and Tax Compliance   - Establish a R&C Lab to incubate innovative solutions and utility offerings  - To partner/build alliances with solution vendors, client and industry associations  - Strong focus on financial risks, retail compliance, institutional compliance and tax compliance, risk and finance integration and risk and compliance modeling and analytics  Practice Manager – Tax Compliance- India – Bangalore / Pune   The Tax Compliance practice aims to work in the areas of Cross Border Tax, Income Tax and Transaction Tax compliance for BFSI firms. The practice aims at assisting clients to comply with tax obligation   - Cross border exchange of customer information, under bipartite treaties, IGA under FATCA and OECD information sharing   - Cross border tax obligations and reporting   - Domestic tax deduction obligations on the financial income paid to the clients by BFSI firms, and reporting obligations under Cost Basis Reporting  - Transaction tax on trades  This is a leadership role in R&C unit within the Banking & Financial Services Business Unit of Wipro. We are looking for a hardcore tax expert.   Practice building:   - The Practice Manager will be responsible for building and managing a Global Practice in the identified area of focus within the tax compliance domain. This will involve build capabilities to implement third party tax compliance solutions, managing P&L for the practice and grow revenues through domain led offerings and consulting.   - The Practice Manager will work in tandem with the Account teams to drive business growth. He/She will recruit and manage a team that brings deep industry subject matter expertise and transformation consulting.   Branding:   - The Practice Manager through his/her industry thought leadership, will position Wipro as a transformational partner and thereby drive Wipro’s participation in the strategic programs of the client.   - The Practice Manager is expected to bring a lot of industry specific context and relationships that will strengthen Wipro’s positioning with clients. He/She should participate and contribute in prominent industry fora.   Solutions:   - The Practice Manager along with his team will leverage understanding of industry needs and identify relevant solution ideas, create business case and implement the solutions.   - As part of the P&L function, the Practice Manager is expected to focus on solution led revenues. Practice Manager will liaise with CXO’s in client organization to understand their business problems and provide robust solutions.  New Business Models Practice Manager will engage with the players in the R&C ecosystems : partners, clients, industry associations and regulators to build new business models including utility offerings, monetization of IPs and high end KPO/ consulting practice.   Responsibilities:  - Lead preparation of Wipro’s response to regulatory consulting papers, exposure drafts, draft legislation and Professional standards;   - Build deep competency in Tax Compliance areas. Build a team of SMEs and consultants. Train the team in the emerging areas and third party products.   - Identify, Create and lead creation of artifacts, baselines, IPs and solutions as part of competency and solution building in the emerging areas  - Leverage Industry best practices in client engagements.   - Lead workshops organized for clients through thought leadership and Industry expertise.   - Proactively identify new solution ideas and help implement them for clients.  - Engage eco-system- clients, partners, industry associations and regulators to establish brand Wipro and identify and business opportunities  Skills:  Qualifications:   - The role requires a good exposure to the tax compliance and tax compliance IT functions within the BFSI firm. The candidate should have good understanding and experience across various compliance requirements; tax compliance across various firm types (investment banking, bank, asset manager, wealth manager and insurance) will be preferred.   - Experience with products from leading vendors is a must.   - Must have worked with tier 1 IT services firms or bank captives  The candidate needs to have strong expertise in the core Tax Compliance areas like :  - Cross Border Taxation Information Exchange– Bipartite Treaties and FATCA  - Cross Border Tax Deduction - QI, Rubik Treaties  - OECD- information exchange  - Computation of financial income and tax on domestic and cross border tax obligations across countries in US and Europe  - Transaction Tax for various financial products under European and US regime  - Experience with BFSI firms of UK, Europe, US, Switzerland   Experience:   - 12+ years’ experience in the industry in Tax Compliance for BFSI firms- with IT service firms or bank’s captive unit or big four firms having worked on cross border tax IT.   - At least 2 years of leadership experience, having lead implementation of Computation of financial income paid to clients, cross border tax IT projects – collection of tax and deduction of tax for BFSI firm in US or Europe or Australia   - Experience with global delivery model with IT services firms   - Proven ability to launch and execute successful initiatives in complex and challenging environments.   - Excellent academic credentials from top tier programs - CA, MBA required,   - Excellent verbal and written communication and networking skills   - Experience in motivating and leading multi-cultural, cross functional teams   - Ability to work independently and proactively in a dynamic and ambiguous environment   - Willingness to be onsite at a client location and able to travel extensively to support the needs of the business  - Should have participated/contributed in industry seminars & conferences, books, blogs, committees, thought leadership
