Polycom - Technical Mgr - Voice/Video/Unified Comm (10-15 yrs)

Essential Functions:

- Candidate is expected to lead and manage a team of ten engineers. Manage and grow a first-class team of engineers & supervisors to work on feature development, patch and maintenance releases.

- The candidate must have good interpersonal skills, process driven and should be able to have his/her way through the realms of company guidelines in the interest of the project & company.

- He/She must work closely with various stakeholders across the world including Product Management, Program Management, Sales, Tier Support-PGS etc.

- The candidate will work with Product Management to define the appropriate road map and immediate projects, focused on delivering releases that include patch and maintenance releases as well as new features that improve customer experience.

- He/She will coach and motivate your team to ensure high productivity, great collaboration and teamwork, and help each individual achieve his/her maximum potential.

Education : B.Tech/M.Tech from a reputed institute.

Skills:

- C, C++ (and/or Java), RTOS, Embedded Systems using Linux/Android

Protocols: VoIP – SIP/H.323, SSL/TLS, 802.1x, DHCP, H.239, RTP etc. (Added advantage).

Experience:

- At least 10+ years of experience in Product Development Company with having had hands on experience in designing, developing products.

- At-least few years of experience in people management is a must including Project management experience involving cross-functional projects with multiple dependencies and constraints.

- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.

- Experience on task prioritization, resource utilization, workload and escalation management.

- Experience with Risk Management: Identify project risks, provide risk avoidance recommendations, and anticipate potential problems.

- He/She must have strong programming background with great display of technical leadership in current/previous jobs.
Must have worked on various areas of product design development ranging for :

- OOPS, Data Structures

- Multi-threaded environments, IPCs & Interrupts

- Debugging using JTAG/GDB or other tools

- Memory Virtualization.

- The candidate should have excelled in field of work and also managed teams for delivering world class solutions.

- He/She must have complete understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and the complex processes involved to take a product from ideation/concept through EOS/EOL.

- He/She must have worked in various areas of architecture of a particular system and should have been Subject Matter Expert in more than one area.
