Plant Head - Textile/Dyeing/Winding (10-15 yrs)

Position Name: Plant Head

Job Purpose:

- Plan, organize and control the plant operations in most cost-effective manner with consistently high product quality and improvement of operating parameters to meet business objectives.

Desired Qualification & Experience:

- Senior Management Professional with B. Tech (textile graduate preferred) having 10-15 years of experience in relevant field.

Age: 55 years

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Should be technically sound and administratively strong

- Should have handled a manufacturing unit of manpower- 800

Well versed with:

- Production Management

- Worker Handling

- Shop Floor Operations

- Process Management

- Quality Systems like TQM/6 sigma

Principal Accountabilities:

Production:

- Effective resource planning for optimizing man & machine utilisation

- Reducing wastes for enhancing productivity and profitability.

- Maintaining co-ordination between all the departments to achieve stipulated goal. The efficient & flexible management of all resources

- Maintaining a high quality working environment and ensuring that staffs are appropriately trained and qualified.

- Ensure that appropriate information, communication, training and instruction are passed on to the workforce.

- Being able to motivate self and others whilst operating in a demanding environment.

Process Control:

- To Plan, monitor & achieve monthly production target,

- To ensure Raw Materials, In-Process & Finished products are identified,

- To ensure that process parameters are followed during production,

- To ensure that work instruction are followed.

- Promoting and utilizing appropriate quality system.

- Able to communicate clearly and simplify complex concepts, building confidence in team members.

- The delivery of finished products in accordance with cost, quality and production schedule requirements.

- To ensure that the laid down safety norms are followed during manufacturing.

Other Responsibilities:

- Customer complaint attending, investigation, Establish adequate statistical techniques as required for verification as well as corrective & preventive action.

- Drive continuous improvement in all functions via, lean manufacturing, product innovation, quality systems, operating costs, costing, minimizing waste, reduction efforts.

- Minimizing inventory of FG/WIP, RM & components and monitoring order processing plan in line with requirements.

- Overseeing the development, implementation and monitoring of Quality Systems in the plant. Coordinating Internal Quality Audit in all departments at defined intervals.

- Acting as the Member of the Management Review Meeting for reviewing the operational and quality systems.

- Achieving timely dispatch of product to all Depots as per their needs and providing - Zero Complaint- services to all customers.
