About the position :

The CTO (Chief Technology Officer) role is to assure the successful execution of the company's business mission. The suitable candidate will be the core member to lead all the Technical aspects of the venture.

The CTO will lead Company's technical roadmap taking into account the need to build or integrate products and platforms that appropriately balance the need for speed-to-market, scalability, and differentiation.

We are looking for a young Technology Rock star as a CTO, who can work smart, hard and fast and who can gel well with team. This start-up is a green field opportunity with a promise to create significant value.

Qualification : IITians are preferred but not mandatory.

Experience : upto 10 years.

Industry Preference : e-Commerce

Must Have :

- Strong Big Data

- 3 dimensional Technology

- Personalization

- Internet Advertising Technology Experience with Entrepreneurial Mindset & spirit (i.e; someone who can also roll up sleeves @ the time of need).

- Premier institutions are preferred but not Mandatory.

- You must be a technology evangelist, with proven ability to make and scale things from scratch.

- Should have had experience in e-commerce / internet space.

- Strong in Hypothesis formulation and verification.

- Strong in Algorithms - Machine learning, Statistics.

- Proficiency in programming.

- Proficiency and Good understanding of open source tools and platforms.

Requirements/ Skills :

- Should Have Awesome Coding Skills.

- Managing and directing website technical structure, design & aesthetics, navigation, information architecture, performance.

- Should know new technologies & frameworks.

- Some front-end experience will be added advantage.

- Responsible for Big Data and Analytics Platforms, Supply Chain Platforms, Data warehouses, Billing and Payment platforms, Recommendation Engines, Experimentation Platforms etc.

- Identify technology trends and evolving social behavior that may support the success of the business.

- Build backend tools to automate business processes for marketing, customer service, production, management, etc, and lead timely response to feature requests from internal users and developer features.

Responsibilities :

- Liaison with the various engineering teams and ensure business success.

- Identify technology trends which are necessary for success of the business.

- Maintains up to date knowledge of technology standards and emerging technologies.

- Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms for delivering the best value.

- Also ensure that the best practices are maintained across the organization.

- Develop and encourage the disparate teams to think differently and find innovative solutions.

- Ensure technical problems are resolved in a timely and cost -effective manner.
