Job Title : Compliance Officer - Foundation  Business Unit : Piramal Foundation  Location : Mumbai  Domain : Compliance  Band/Grade : 2B/3A (TBD)  Department : Piramal Foundation  Degree of Travel required to : Limited  Purpose of Job Ensure adherence to regulatory and other associated compliances for the Piramal Foundation and its initiatives, CSR Committees of all group companies, key legislation and the 501- 3 trust  Key stakeholders :  External :  - Statutory auditors, internal auditors, legal consultants, Group Secretarial team, government authorities  Internal :  - Management across Initiatives, senior management (PEL)/ boards of CSR entities / CSR Committee of group Companies  Reporting structure :  Role directly reports to : Program Head - Foundation  Positions that report into this role : N/A  Essential Qualifications :  - Company Secretary (CS) is required.  - Legal qualification preferred  - Bachelor's Degree is required; Master's desired  Essential Experience :  - Overall experience of 4-6 years with a compliance, legal, or finance audit background  - Thorough knowledge of applicable Laws for Companies, Charitable Trusts and Societies in India and 501- (3) trust  - Understanding of tax laws would be an added advantage  - In-depth understanding of regulatory requirements  - Experience in handling compliance activities   Essential Skills :  - Proven organizational skills and capacity to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.  - Excellent writing, communication and facilitating skills.  - Ability to proactively communicate the compliance requirements to stakeholders  - Proficiency in MSWord, Excel and Power Point applications  - Working knowledge of compliance software applications  Decision Making Control : Take appropriate action upon identification of non-compliance  Values :  Knowledge :  Expertise : We strive for a deeper understanding of our domain  Innovation : We aspire to do things creatively  Action :  Entrepreneurship : We are empowered to act decisively and create value  Integrity : we are consistent in our thoughts, speech and action  Care :   Trusteeship : we protect the interests of our customers, community, employees, partners and shareholders  Humility : we aspire to be the best, yet strive to be humble  Key Roles/Responsibilities :   - Understand and stay up-to-date on the statutory and compliance requirements for the Foundation and the 501- (3) trust   - Ensure 100% adherence to required regulatory compliances under the Companies Act, relevant trust / societies- laws and 501- (3) requirements  - Maintenance and tracking of comprehensive calendar for compliance of all applicable regulations  - Responsible for putting required regulatory framework in place to ensure compliance as per regulatory timelines  - Ensure regular compliance meetings, documentation and reporting are completed in a timely manner for all Foundation initiatives i.e. board meetings, CSR committee meeting  - Formulation and documentation of required policies to ensure all compliance requirements are in place   - Responsible for handling regulatory inspections and regulatory audits  - Maintenance of quarterly compliance registers  - Identify any potential risk area of non-compliance and take appropriate proactive corrective action  - Assistance in internal and statutory audits for regulatory aspects
