Operating across over 10 states, it employs over 3,500 people and impacts the lives of over 80 million Indians.  Established in 2008 to address the unserved and underserved needs of society, the Foundation has addressed the country's needs in the areas of healthcare, safe drinking water, education, women empowerment and livelihood creation.   Today, the Foundation focuses on key issues in the sectors of Healthcare (Piramal Swasthya), Water (Piramal Sarvajal), and Education (Piramal Foundation for Education Leadership).  Our vision is to transform Health, Education, Water and social sector ecosystems through high impact solutions, thought leadership and partnership.  The Piramal Foundation is looking for a senior communications professional who can shape its communications strategy, partner with think-tanks and media houses, and help drive thought-leadership in the development sector.  Deliverables And Role Expectations :   Distill insights and drive thought-leadership; create a knowledge-led brand identity :   - Build the Foundation's brand through knowledge and expertise.  - Use data and facts to draw insights and perspectives for the Foundation's target audience  - Position the Foundation in the thought-leadership space through op-ed pieces, research, white papers.  - Strong mix of strategic and operational skills to help reshape the Foundation's personality as it transitions from an operating foundation to a thought leader.  Understand the Foundation's target audience and stakeholders (government, philanthropists, corporates, citizens) and create material relevant and useful to them :   - Develop a coherent strategy by undertaking a strategic gap analysis of the Foundation's current status and its desired state  - Identify knowledge resources within the Foundation's organisations and use them to create articles, blogs and opinion pieces that are tailored for different audiences.  Identify channels of dissemination and partner with influential media houses and knowledge platforms - global and Indian :  - Develop campaigns around the social sector in collaboration with media houses and create a platform to highlight the role of the Foundation as a case study  - Link with, and develop global perspectives and positioning on the Foundation's focus areas  - Track events and series on philanthropy in India and globally; leverage these to position the Foundation at appropriate forums including Skoll, SOCAP, SSIR, Guardian, Economist, etc  Build communications strategy; enable a culture of insight development and dissemination within the Foundation :   - Build and run the marketing, communications and content functions for the Foundation as a whole.  - Ability to serve as the Foundation's spokesperson over a period of time  - Past experience in media relations / media administration that would help develop and deliver a communications strategy  Profile :  - Minimum 15 years experience with extremely strong verbal and written communications skills  - Has handled engagement at senior levels  - Individuals who have written and commented for major publications (print and on line) and media houses. Have a background of expressing opinions through blogs / authored articles  - Candidates who have had an exposure to working with government agencies / on social awareness issues  - Creative, multi-tasker, is able to handle fast turnaround times  - Mix of go-getter and thoughtful insights
