Job Description - CHIEF MANAGER - STORES

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Warehouse Management :

- Overall responsible for all activities of the department beside day-to-day activities like materials receipts, issues, record/documentation and regulate procurement activities.

- Responsible for monitoring inventories and scrap salvaging and disposal in liaison with Head Office and corporate office.

- Responsible for all safety norms are followed while working in warehouse.

Logistics Management :

- Responsible for development of new packing and shipment methods as per the requirements of customers

- Responsible to coordinate with API and GCC for distribution of Finished goods for Domestic markets as well Local Markets complying all statutory requirements.

- Co-ordinating with Transporters, C&F Agents to achieve seamless movement of consignments & ensuring timely deliveries.

- Negotiation with the transporters for contracts and arrangement of suitable Vehicle for dispatch from different transporters.
Production Planning

- Responsible to coordinate with All production heads, Supply chain and PPIC, QC & QA departments in arranging the materials for existing and new products for uninterrupted production process.

Central Excise & Customs :

- Responsible for All Central Excise & Customs matters in procurement of materials and Distribution of Finished Goods

- Submission of all returns and reports to Range Office

- Coordination with Head office and Corporate office to comply the requirements.

- Responsible for availing the Cenvat credit and utilization of the same as per the Rules and Regulations of Central Excise, keeping track of amendments on day to day basis

Service Tax :

- Responsible for Submission of returns and reports pertaining to Service Tax.

- Responsible for availing the credit and utilization of Service Tax as per the Rules and Regulations of Service Tax, keeping track of amendments on day to day basis

Prohibition and Excise (State) Narcotics :

- Responsible for Submission of returns and reports pertaining to State Excise.

- Responsible for renewal Licenses for Ethanol and IMS, keeping track of amendments on day to day basis
Narcotics & Drugs Act
- Responsible for Submission of returns and reports pertaining to Narcotic Products.

Weights and Measures :

- Responsible for periodically calibrations of all storage tanks installed for storage of solvents and Chemicals as per the Rules and regulations of Meteorology.

- Responsible for periodically calibrations of all weigh scales installed at stores as per the Rules and regulations of Meteorology.

- Responsible for periodically calibrations of all weigh stones at stores as per the Rules and regulations of Meteorology.

Contract Manufacturing :

- Responsible to coordinate with All contract manufacturers, Supply chain and PPIC, QC & QA departments in arranging the materials for existing and new products for uninterrupted production process.

- Responsible for arranging all the materials to be provided to the contract manufacturers

- Responsible for monitoring the stocks with the contract manufactures, verification of Inventory and reconciliation of the stocks periodically.

SAP ERP :

- Coordinating in defining new business process requirements generated on time to time, involving the cycle of MM and integration with other modules.

- Coordinating with SAP team of Hyderabad and Mumbai in implementation of new business processes.

- Supporting the users in Digwal and Hyderabad office for better utilisation of ERP system.

- Extend training to new users as and when required.

Quality Assurance :

- Responsible for continuous improvement in warehouse quality systems & successful overseas audits.

- Responsible for upkeep of the systems as per the cGMP, USFDA, MHRA, ISO9000, ISO14000 and ISO18000.

- Evaluating & adopting Systems/Policies/Procedures for performing business operations, ensuring maximum efficiency.

- Training and developing non-technical staff for cGMP quality systems.

Training :

- Conduct cGMP training and evaluation to warehouse Staff.

- Developing Training Modules for Different Levels.

- Organize for Safety Training to Subordinates.

AUTHORITIES :

1. Authorised to issue receive, store material with proper documents and sign returnable/non returnable gate passes for sending materials to out side agencies/parties as per specific advise of concerned departments.

2. Authorised to allocate work among all personnel in stores department.

Bsc Chemistry with MBA in Material Management
