Purpose of Job
Drive the implementation of on-going and envisaged Technology initiatives for businesses under Piramal Capital
Help businesses rigorously evaluate and successfully implement technology solutions in a cost-effective and time-bound manner in order to realize the targeted benefits from technology
Key stakeholders
Third party service providers (consultants, technology vendors)
Group CIO, CIO - FS, President - Strategy, Head - Piramal Finance Operations, Business unit CEOs, Business teams, Function heads and their teams (e.g., Finance, Legal, Risk, HR) - Piramal Capital
Essential Qualifications:
Experience with leading technology consulting companies or financial services industry
B.E./B.Tech., MBA or M.S. from a premier Indian or US institute (preferable)
Essential Skills & Experience:
8-12 years of experience in a top tier technology consulting firm or financial services industry. Preferably having good exposure in the following:
- Strong experience as a Business Analyst and Project Manager in the Financial Services industry. Preferably working in a business solutions group wherein he/she liaises with the business and leverages technology to implement the requirements
- Implementation experience of technology initiatives in the Risk and Treasury Domains
- Experience in both technology design and implementation aspects
- Program management skills for driving technology changes
- Strong data management fundamentals, Excel skills & basic data analytics
- Comfort in dealing with ambiguity, conflict resolution and stakeholder management capabilities
- Strong problem solving and communication skills

Key Roles/Responsibilities:
Project Management & Technology Design
- Work closely as part of the Piramal FS to define target technology architecture aligned with business objectives and target operations architecture for businesses under Piramal Capital e.g. Real Estate Wholesale Financing.
- Assist in evaluating existing IT systems (As-is) and recommend technology solutions (To-be) based on market benchmarks / industry best practises in alignment with business growth plans or long term vision
- Work closely with multiple business teams (e.g. Risk and Treasury teams ) and the IT team to elicit and document detailed Business Requirements (BRDs) for technology and orchestrate solution implementation in-line with requirements
- Drive the complete assessment of technology solutions for business from a functional and technical perspective, and recommend solutions / options for technology-driven process improvement e.g.: "use of mobility in transaction processing
Data Management:
- Conduct business and data analysis to help identify the data points generated along various stages of the business system, model business entities and their relationships in terms of data
- Work closely with business unit CEOs and cross-functional business teams to identify and design the key dashboards required across the business system
- Work closely with functional teams to identify key data requirements, standardize data management and develop key data templates required by different functions (e.g. Investments, Asset Monitoring, Risk, Finance etc.)
- Understand the role of data and analytics in the functioning of Monitoring and Risk Management (e.g. assessment of project cash flows, use of scorecards for evaluation etc.)
- Work closely with the Risk function and technology solution vendor(s) to help parameterize Risk criteria and associated requirements to devise a technology solution to enable analytics for Portfolio Risk Management
Implementation:
- Drive the in-house IT team and be responsible for project and vendor management in the required technology implementations
- Liaise with external consultants, internal stakeholders (business heads and teams) and IT team during implementation of the required technology platforms
- On an ongoing basis, help evolve business requirements for technology and data/reporting, as businesses scale up or technology undergoes evolution
- Successfully engage in and drive multiple initiatives simultaneously
Essential Qualifications:
