Philanthropy is a nonprofit, noncommercial organization striving to make the most vulnerable communities safer from natural and man made disasters through awareness, preparedness, and mitigation. The organization has been working in partnership with government organizations, and Corporate Sectors in conducting programs on training and capacity building, Community Preparedness, School Safety, Knowledge building, urban risk reduction etc.

Philanthrope comprises of highly qualified doctors, disaster management experts, educationists, entrepreneurs, researchers, parliamentarians and media professionals working towards the goal of making every Indian prepared to tackle emergencies.

Job Description:

To lead and further grow organizations business development work, taking the existing fundraising model to scale

To focus on strategic business planning with an aim to bring new corporate donors and build business development and generate increased revenue and growth in fundraising

To represent externally and increase reputation in the market as a center of excellence for donors and NGO sector partnership.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy:

Provide clear vision and leadership for how corporate fundraising can develop in the next three to five years

Develop and implement a strategy and scaleable business development model for financial growth within the organization

Develop a business development framework around the organization key giving products for corporate and individual donors

Revisit and strengthen the current business development approach of various products

Innovate, develop and support new fundraising products to broad-based organization streams of fundraising

Develop and support innovative partnerships under various corporate CSR initiatives

Develop a strategy for regional fundraising and expansion

Provide advisory to corporate and NGO clients

Management:

Set fund raising priorities, goals, and budget and quarterly action plans for new donor acquisitions

Provide leadership and management support to implement their fundraising plan, achieve individual targets, and develop relationships with companies/ other donors.

Research and identify potential donors, cultivate potential donors and communicate with current donors for increased giving by corporates through the organization

Develop new and existing corporate client relationships in the area of Advisory

Write proposals and presentations to pitch for business development

Lead client meetings and provide follow up support

Develop contact and network in the different types/range of companies, including Small and Medium size enterprises and PSUs

Lead on international fund raising projects

Build capacity of the internal business development team

Responsible for day-to-day administration of fundraising team including tracking and updating target vs achievement, keeping records up-to-date

Ensure the right skills and resources are in place to deliver against the fund raising plan

Work closely with other units of the organization, particularly the Programs, marketing & communications, Finance, regional representatives/offices to ensure fundraising is represented and positioned appropriately

Conceptualize fundraising campaigns. Also, prepare fundraising marketing material and content with the Communications team

Effectively use digital media such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Blogs to raise the organization visibility

Supervise the creation and maintenance of a database of all donors, including, potential corporate donors

Thought Leadership and External Representation:

Proactively seek out opportunities to represent the organization externally in India on issues relating to strategic and effective giving, philanthropy, corporate community investment and social investment and impact

Represent various national and international forums in the fundraising and corporate philanthropy space

Help grow and strengthen organizations brand and reputation as a provider of strategic advice and thought leadership, demonstrating how we add value to our corporate clients

Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Proven track record in developing, delivering, managing CSR projects

Strong understanding of the Companies Act 2013 and related socio-legal and policy environment, governing CSR in India

Experience of strategic planning and business modeling, ideally in a cross-sectoral, multidisciplinary field

Salary: 15,00,000 - 18,00,000 P.A. Best in the industry

Desired Candidate Profile

MBA and/ or Post Graduate with Diploma/ Degree in Business Management (PGDBM), Sales and Marketing, Finance, Communication or another relevant discipline

Minimum 10-15 years of experience in delivering a range of corporate fundraising products and working with CSR teams, in an agency or business setting

Strong proposal writing skills and experience of working with target driven business models (financial and/or impact), with excellent skills in power point presentation development

Strong influencing and negotiating skills. Understanding of the role of philanthropic capital (either private or corporate), in achieving social impact and change

Proven understanding of Corporate CSR and philanthropy

Excellent communication skills, including the gravitas to represent at the highest levels within companies and governments and to speak publicly and confidently about philanthropy to corporate and at events

Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality written outputs

Flexibility to travel and to attend meetings outside of normal working hours
