DESCRIPTION


This is a fixed term contract role

The MR leader is the Head of the distributor MR organization. The individual plans and executions the company and distributors business plans for the MR channel.


Responsibilities will include:


- Managing the entire team consisting of ISMs, Sales Representatives, Counsellors, counsellor supervisors and Account/Channel leaders.


- Ensuring the channel delivers KPIs as per the set targets for the month / quarter / year for both sell in and sell out from stores


- Building strong relationship with MR retailers at regional level


- Managing people process (hiring, performance management, issue/claims resolution & approval etc.) for Team leaders, IMSs and counsellors. Build Capability and give direction in line with central priorities.


- Will be responsible for driving on-going training and capability calendar of MR Organization - supervisors, ISM and counsellors


- Ensure highest standards of controls and stewardship at the distributor


- Will also serve as a key member and actively participate with the Distributor Leadership Team to ensure that the plans are executed and delivered in the field


- Plan, develop and execute strategy for achieving the business objectives for MR channel


- Will be responsible for building relationship and influencing the regional MR retailer buyers for delivery of business


- Will be responsible for meeting the Sales Fundamentals instore, Sales out via counsellors, track progress and plan for opportunities


- Will be responsible for Performance Management and Reviews of the entire team


- Will be responsible for Capability Building of the team. Will involve identifying individual and team training needs and establish and co-ordinate a training and development plan.


- Will be responsible for monitoring competitor activation and executing defense plans in coordination with Central Team


- Monitor, measure and report on issues, opportunities, plans and achievement within agreed formats and timelines


- Liaise with other functional / departments to ensure business deliverables and compliance of HR, Admin and Finance principles and guidelines


QUALIFICATIONS:


- Post Graduate, Preferably MBA in Marketing / Operations / Retail


- Excellent Oral / Written Communication Skills


- Knowledge of Modern Retail Practices, processes, procedures & documentation.


- Knowledge of Selling, Merchandising & Counselling in FMCG, Initiative selling, instore operations (experience across

Sales promotion, Promoter management, Consumer Activation preferably in FMCG Sector)


- Strong analytical, problem-solving and reporting skills (MS office)


- Should have managed large, dispersed teams for at least 3-6 years


- Should have worked in MFT environment, working across functions to deliver results


- Budget management experience


- 3 to 6 years of Modern Retail experience, preferably in well-known Retail / FMCG companies


- Strong organizational & interpersonal skills


- Crisis management, cognitive capacity


- Strong ethics and values


- Should be open to travel - 50 - 60% time to be spent in local & / or overnight travel.
