Perfetti Van Melle India - Manager - Material Planning

Broad Objectives of the role : Drive efficient process and operations for all material planning. Lead New Product Launches and Material Planning control and its related automation projects.

Minimum qualification and experience : Graduate with PG / PD - SCM.

Min. 5~7 Years with min. 2 years in FMCG.

Other knowledge/skills : Material Planning and analysis, Project management, Communication, Problem solving and Negotiations.

SAP knowledge and MRP module.

Location ; Corporate office, Gurgaon

Area of responsibility :

- Create the Material Planning (Raw Materials, Packaging Materials and Promo Materials) processes, SOPs and deployment with clear update and its implementation.

- Facilitate the progress and implementation of New Product Development through portal with clear role mapping and task scheduler.

- FG Import - Review and refine process for FG Import to ensure Statutory compliance and ordering as per defined process.

- Lead Automation Projects for material planning to ensure current & future Business priorities are mapped end - to - end to get the desired outcome.

Material Planning (RM / PM / Promo) :

- Develop the SOPs, templates to manage the material planning activities in line with PVMI goals and objective.

- Review and refine processes to improve efficiencies and performance of material planning partners by analyzing performance.

- Resolve escalations related to material planning problems.

- Set necessary measurement and tracking mechanisms to monitor material planning performance for Promo switchover, material switchover and discontinuation.

- Root cause detail for potential and proposal for material write - off due to various reason and evaluate options to salvage / minimize write - off.

- Scenario building for trade - offs in case of Business Requirement change and ensure to develop consensus on the proposal by stake holders.

- Review and refine process for timely update of material for switchover.

New Product / SKU Launch :

- Develop and track PAF control process to timely initiate the process for material procurement and update stake holders for earliest possible production start - ups.

- Set the necessary procedure, processes and templates to derive exclusive material ordering for new products and create visibility for the coverage.

- Track and report challenges for updating progress on the internal portal so that stakeholders have visibility to the project progress

Automation Projects (Material and NPD Planning) :

- Custodian and lead for all improvement / automation for material planning activities.

- Define role, responsibilities, deliverables, compliance requirement and SLAs while defining Business Requirement Rules within function for smooth implementation of solution.

- Facilitate solution implementation where SCM is owner for the implementation and its success.

- Develop and nurture relationship with key stake holders and promote SCM services for material availability as per desired goals.

- Identify initiatives and proposals to minimize material losses and high service in terms of product availability and drive its implementation.
