JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Candidate must have experience of Procure both IT as well as non IT product.

- He / she would need to pro actively work with departmental budgets holders & identify major procurement opportunities.

- He / She would need to liaising between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments and customers

- Candidate would need to identify potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them

- He / she would need to develop and manage the procurement department including setting targets and monitoring performance

- Incumbent would need to negotiate and agree contracts and monitoring their progress, checking the quality of service provided by the vendors or suppliers.

- Candidate would need to develop an organization's purchasing strategy

- He / she would need to evaluate bids and making recommendations based on commercial and technical factors

- He / She would need to discover the most profitable suppliers and initiate business partnership

- Incumbent would need to negotiate with external vendors to secure the most advantageous terms

- He / She would need to track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

- Candidate would need to foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients

DESIRED PROFILE:

- Candidate should have engineering background - BE / BTech - premium institutes will be preferred.

- Candidates having done their post graduation from premium institute will be preferred.

- Candidate must have minimum 5 years of post qualification experience

- Candidates having strong background of negotiations, vendor management.

- Candidate should be comfortable working on strict timelines.
