Divisional Overview:

Compensation accounting worldwide is responsible for the management and accounting of all salary, bonus, and other types of remuneration paid to employees of the firm. We are responsible for the analysis and reporting of wage information and tax payments to domestic and international tax authorities. In addition, we are responsible for the accounting, reporting and taxation of share-based compensation. We work closely with areas of the firm such as Human Capital Management, Tax, Financial Reporting, Accounting Policy, Treasury, Information Technology and the various Legal Entity Controllers.

Compensation Accounting has six regional teams strategically located in New York, London, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Bangalore and Sao Paulo. This role is located in Bangalore and will support ongoing efforts to enhance our global payroll systems and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

- Analyze HR data reports (i.e. rejects and errors) to determine if corrective action is required

- Liaise with Technology and regional payroll teams on new requirements (e.g. new regulation, statutory tax changes, new employee self-service offerings)

- Develop, coordinate and execute testing for monthly global payroll production and ongoing system maintenance packs

- Coordinate enhancement request tracking tool for global business community

- Support regional payroll teams with production inquires

- Update Operating Procedures and Training Manuals

- Manage Ad-Hoc queries

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Computer Science

- 5 years of payroll and/or payroll systems implementation experience

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel a must

- Good verbal and communication skills

- PeopleSoft v9 a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

- Ability to multi-task and remain flexible to constantly changing priorities.

- Strong organization and analytical skills.

- Extreme attention to details and the ability to follow through

- Manage multiple time zones (local vs. global )
