Patent Attorney - Power/Automation

Hiring Patent Attorney for global leader in power and automation technologies.

Position holder is an IP attorney for all IP matters,provides IP service with high technical and legal competency to:

- Protect,enforce and defend IP, Performing inventor interviews

- Prior art patent searches on on-line databases

- Draftingand filing patent applications, designs and trademarks

- Patentabilityopinions based on official searches

- Reply toofficial actions issued by the patent offices

- Drafting oppositions against third party patents in IN

- Administrative tasks in connection with proceedings before patent offices in IN, PCT (Preparation and (online) submission of documents for priority applications and subsequent filings and oppositions)

- Carry outfreedom to operate studies and provide IP clearance reports.

- Work withexternal IP firms on ensuring outsourced IP activities are handled in aneffective manner (including cost effectiveness)

- ProvideIP training to business and R&D members

- IP Risk analysis for Products (Clearance Reports) and drafting Infringement Opinions

- Represent ABB companies in oral hearings before the patent authorities

- Deal with and support internal legal team with IP issues in contracts and licensing agreements

- Deal withand support external attorneys with IP conflicts (IP infringement, invalidation)

- Consulting companies in the field of IP

- Supporting companies in IP issues in mergers & acquisitions and divestment

- Conducting Patent Portfolio Review Meetings with internal customer
