A top rated Mumbai based law firm is looking for certified patent agents with engineering background.

The company has an extensive/full service Intellectual Property (IP) Practice in Patents, Trade Marks (including Service Marks), Designs, Copyright and Domain Names. The team has a strong patent prosecution cell with expertise in providing a range of services like;

1. Conducting worldwide patent prior art searches.

2. Drafting patent specifications in the various disciplines of science.

3. Assisting clients in identifying the value of their inventions and developing their patent portfolio strategy.

4. The services also include providing IP related opinions including patentability, infringement and freedom to operate (FTO) opinions.

5. Preparing draft responses for US attorneys in relation to USPTO issued office actions.

6. The firm also renders watch and search services in the IP practice area.

7. In addition, the IP protection and management team also advises on advertising and marketing issue
pertaining to consumer and product regulations, and unfair ompetition, media related issues and comparative
advertising.

8. The technology and licensing team advises on the commercial aspects of intellectual property and technology rights, including negotiation, drafting and review of intellectual property and technology transfer agreements, transactions and joint ventures.

9. The team also undertakes IP audits and due diligence exercises and provides services relating to information technology implementation, development, distribution and licensing, internet, web and electronic commerce transactions, intellectual property exploitation and licensing, communications projects, research and development projects, technology transfers, franchising and media and entertainment transactions.

Required Experience-

1. Strong skills on drafting patent specifications in their field and assisting clients in identifying the value of their inventions. Should have drafted specification in good number.

2. Providing IP related opinions including patentability, infringement and freedom to operate etc..

3. Should have undertaken IP audits and due diligence exercises.

4. Should be capable of advising clients on the commercial aspects of intellectual property and technology rights

Qualification

We are looking for candidates with Masters degree in Engineering in disciplines like

1. Biotechnology
2. Microbiology
3. Pharmacology

Additional Qualification WIPO advanced course in Biotechnology and IP(DL204)

Candidate should have minimum 3-6 years experience in similar role in an IP Firm or industry
