OYO Rooms - Assistant Manager- CAPEX

Job purpose

This is a great opportunity to be a part of the largest hotel chain network in India. A leader in the marketplace within 2 years of Foundation, within last 1 year OYO launched 3 more business segments of which OYO Townhouse and OYO Flagship are two fully owned and operated by OYO.

Within next 2 years, OYO Townhouse and OYO Flagship together will be THE largest hospitality brand with

- More than triple the total no of rooms for travelers than any other hotel chain in India

- Most number of banquet halls under one umbrella

- The largest footprint of own hotels across India and largest real estate space for any hotel brand

Procurement forms an integral business driver at OYO with the responsibility of supplying all movable items going in a hotel. This includes different categories like furniture, appliances, electricals, linen, toiletries, flooring and branding, etc. An ideal candidate for this role will be expected to

- Identify right partners to build capacity for all our standard SKUs for any of the categories mentioned above in all regions across the country

- Build SME in each category and ensure appropriate quality checks are in place

- Develop supply chain network for timely deliveries

- Ensure timely repair and maintenance and replacements wherever required

- Cost reduction and vendor relationship management

- Internal stakeholder management - with Finance to ensure vendors work on our credit terms and are open to working with our leasing partner; with project team to coordinate fulfillment of requirements

- Dashboard and report circulation to provide org wide visibility

This will be one of the most exciting pieces to build the foundation for India's largest fully owned hotel network. It will include developing processes and integration systems across planning, logistics and warehousing verticals. The Associate / Senior Associate has to be the Rockstar in the organization for this growth to happen which is destined.

Duties and Responsibilities :

Product Finalization :

- Understand the design, material, specification in detail and use industry knowledge to quickly identify right partners

- Use prior knowledge or build capacity to provide feedback on technical specifications

- Traveling to different regions to ensure enough samples available from different vendors for each SKU, if required

Procurement :

- Identify regional and pan India partners who can operate on scale

- Ensure the best performance on key metrics like - Cost, TAT, and Quality

- Provide support to SCM team to set - up supply chain for each new city and new vendor

- Setting up Internal Material Quality Control

- Demand planning, sharing rolling forecast with SCM Team and vendors

- Setting up auto replenishment system, relationship management with vendors and payment processing

- Develop balance scorecards to review vendor performance, meeting vendors to reconcile fill rate, lead time, quality and service SLAs - Identify new vendors wherever needed

- Ensure planned/structured installation process to ensure right coordination at the time of installation at hotel with other project management vendors

Warehousing & Logistics Management :

- Understand vendor's production/business capability as well as warehousing capability

- Ensure proper communication to SCM on warehousing needs anywhere if any and coordinating vendor's delivery and installation at site

- Inventory management at vendor's warehouse and providing real time visibility of vendor's stock, ensure order placement based on current stocks and inventory lead time

- Track OTIF, minimize delays, identify critical paths and manage it, handle production delays, project delays and provide visibility to the respective team

People Management :

- Understands stakeholder management - starting from vendor to on-ground execution team, Finance to Operations to Leadership

- Problem-solving, communication skills to lead and manage a team of 3-4 executives on his own and 10+ vendors and their respective workforce

- Ability to interact with multiple people for multiple projects and driving visibility towards quality, cost and TAT parameters through dashboards and reports

- Escalation management

Qualifications & Skills :

- B. Tech. / MBA from Tier - I Institute with minimum 4 years of experience

- Minimum 4 years of experience in procurement and supply chain

- Previous start-up experience preferred, but not mandatory

- Extremely high level of ownership, drive, and initiative supported by prior track record

- Detail oriented, Strong business acumen, analytical skills, data-driven

- Street-smart, highly energetic and go getter who thrives while working with ambiguity
