We're backed by one of the largest global funds based in the Valley, Omidyar Network; one of the big Indian power-houses, JSW, and legendary Angel investor K Ganesh.  Your Role :  Pricing, selection, and speed of sale are core to Overcart's sale and liquidation services. Ensuring that prices are always optimised for realisation or speed of sale will be key to success at Overcart. Predictive modelling and experience with large (and often unstructured) data will be a plus. You will be working with our Product Managers, Technology team, and other stakeholders to ensure the company is leveraging its data to drive strategic and tactical decision-making.   - Design, implement, and support a platform providing secured access to large datasets.  - Model data and metadata to support ad-hoc and pre-built reporting.  - Tune application and query performance using Unix profiling tools and SQL  - Work closely with the business teams to make sure data requirements are met  - Assure production code-quality  - Review software designs and implementations to deliver high-quality, tested designs  - Experience working with large data sets in order to extract business insights or build predictive models (data mining, machine learning, regression analysis)  - Broad knowledge of applied mathematics (probability and statistics, linear algebra, mathematical optimization)  Skills And Aptitude :  You must be comfortable with large swathes of data, demonstrate a solid understanding of business in general, and show ability to interpret data for business decision-making.   - 3+ years of experience  - SQL proficiency  - Experience designing and developing large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics  - Experience dealing with large databases  - Administration MS/Linux servers, and storage  - Experience in supporting internal and external customers  - B.Sc or M.Sc in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field.  - Expertise in statistical tools (SAS, R)   - Willingness to work in a high-paced setup with rapid iterations   - Ability to handle ambiguity and demonstrate strong ownership  - Patience essential - sense of humour a bonus!  - Hungry to make a difference and succeed  WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU :   If you can thrive in a chaotic and ambiguous environment, the paybacks are disproportionately rewarding.
