Operational Research Analytics - Optimization - Supply Chain

We have an urgent opportunity for one of our prestigious client - US based Offshore Development

Job Profile :

- As a member of the OR team, you will design, develop, and support Operations Research applications to solve complex and business problems.

- Proven capability in conceptualizing and implementing projects in the area of Transportation Network Optimization using Operations Research and Linear Programming using CPLEX ILOG tool or any other equivalent famous OR tools

- Experience in object oriented programming and experience in developing decision support applications using VB, C, C++

- Demonstrate understanding of Operations Research concepts such as Integer programming, mixed - integer programming, heuristic development, evolutionary search techniques, etc

- Collaborating with other R&D developers, testers and product managers during product development; and keeping abreast of analytical developments and trends.

- Areas of development may involve project and resource scheduling, logistics, supply chain management, and general deterministic model development.

- Experience in mathematical modeling and practical OR implementation are required.

Key Responsibilities :

- Designs/optimizes supply chain infrastructure. This includes site layout, leveraging of site logistics assets (material handling/storage, transportation and packaging) and facility/equipment sizing.

- Provides operations support relative to product storage, marine, terminals, packaging equipment/materials, transportation equipment (rail, marine, intermodal), and technical support for procurement.

- Applies most effective technology (MET) and best practices to optimize business supply chains, operations and work processes.

- Builds trust and credibility with a network of key relationships to support quality projects.

- Ability to work in a team and be a good team player.

- Delivers oral and written communications that have clarity and impact.

- Demonstrates the ability to facilitate meetings to generate ideas.

- Creates a team environment of accountability and commitment for reaching quality project goals.

Essential :

- Master's degree in Operations Research, Computer Science or related quantitative field

- At least 4 years of professional consulting experience involving implementations of OR applications

- Experience: 4 to 7 yrs of experience in areas of Operational research & Software Development.

- Modelling skills using software typical to Supply Chain problem structures (e.g. Linear Programming, Multiple Integer Linear Programming, Non Linear Programming, Simulation or Heuristic/Meta Heuristics modelling)

Preferences :

- PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or related quantitative field

- At least 3-5 years of experience developing OR-based applications to solve industrial problems

- Excellent programming skills (C, C++, JAVA or other analytical programming environment)

- Demonstrated experience in business development and project management

- Experience working with a team of experts from varied academic backgrounds
