One of the first start-ups in the portfolio of IncLab incubators & accelerators, okaykidz.com is a portal that curates content for kids to help parents make a call on what is okay for their kids based on content appropriateness ratings.
The founder understands the education space well, and having seen the efforts put in for learners, realizes that the informal learning space influences children/youth dramatically, perhaps what will make or break societies in the future is the values imparted to our youth. The youth forms its values mostly by what they experience - what they see is what they become. So, okaykidz.com helps parents/caregivers make those decisions on the influences on their kids.
About the position:
We are looking to bring a co-founder on-board who can help architect and execute the technology behind okaykidz.com portal from scratch by leveraging open-source and already proven non-proprietary technologies. This includes web technologies, full software stack selection & development, app development for mobile environments, and integrating eCommerce. A track record of product development and project management would be a definite advantage. What will also be important is the ability to bring on-board and manage the right tech team needed to execute the venture.
What's on offer: An equity stake (no salary is on offer). We want somebody extremely entrepreneurial that wants to build and grow a startup.
About the founder: The founder has worked across 3 continents and spent time across Technology, Consulting and Education sectors.
