Novartis - Manager - Internal Audit

Job Purpose:

- Contribute to ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations and the strengthening of Novartis- financial control environment.

- Ensure ongoing SOX 404 compliance and manage the NFCM in an environment with high complexity and multiple involved parties - Group/other Divisions/CPOs, other Pharma and Group functions, external Auditor PwC, Internal Audit and IT.

- Give the involved teams directions and maintain control of progress and overall compliance status. Provide support to non-Finance functions in driving improved compliance.

- Manage and monitor Internal Audit follow-up for the Pharma Division in liaison with Internal Audit and Regions, identify weakness, trends and best practices and propose corrective actions

Major Accountabilities:

- Manage ongoing SOX 404 operations.

- Liaise with external auditors for all matters related to ICFR.

- Set up new SOX 404 entity projects according to yearly scope definition

- Manage the ongoing compliance with the NFCM, allocate internal and/or external resources to accomplish project tasks.

- Lead the Pharma Financial Controls Team.

- Manage quality, timeliness and cost of the deliverables.

- Align/coordinate all activities from a Divisional perspective

- Maintain overview of the status of Pharma Divisions ICFR (SOX 404 and NFCM) and facilitate sharing of best practices to enable greater harmonisation of ICFR throughout the Division

- Report project status to the Steering Committees/other stakeholders.

- Monitor status of Internal Audits on Pharma

Minimum Requirement:

- Higher education, such as a degree in business administration, finance, auditing and/or comparable education. Preferably qualified accountant English written & spoken (required) Appropriate financial qualification strongly preferred.

- Audit experience useful (external or internal - at least 3 years).

- Project Management skills.

- At least 6 years experience in complex, multinational business environments, preferably gained at Novartis including time spent at CPO
