Head of Programs and Enterprise Initiatives

- The Head of Programs and Enterprise Initiatives is a senior management position. The candidate is expected to act as the lead “program manager” for the various solution-development related processes. The candidate will work closely with the CIO in defining, codifying and executing these processes across multiple, various departments within Nova. The candidate will define and manage phase reviews and deliverables to ensure primary solution strategy objectives are being met.

Responsibilities

- Define, or participate in definition, of various Solution & other processes to ensure market-driven solution direction and strategy. Processes can include, but are not limited to:

1. Requirements gathering (in various forms)

2. Enhancement requests evaluation and prioritization

3. Business case development

4. Product launch

5. Change management

6. Cross-functional Solution advisory boards, etc.

- Develop consistent, repeatable work-plans that establish clear deliverables, dependencies, exit criteria, milestones, etc. Communicate and establish buy-in across multiple internal constituent departments – Operations, Sourcing, Marketing, Sales, Accounts, Personnel & HR.

- Manage the action plan and programs & assist participating departments in completion of their respective deliverables and ensure deadlines / dependencies are met.

- Define, or assist in the definition, of the various deliverables associated with the critical path processes, such as Business Case and ROI, Use Case Scenarios, Market Requirements Document, Change Request, Enhancement Review, etc.

- Assist in the development and execution of evaluation exercises that improve the objectiveness of Nova’s cross-prioritization of new IT Solution development opportunities. Examples can include QFD processes, paired comparisons, and other such frameworks.

- Develop, socialize and codify both the processes and deliverables (through use of templates) for Solution-related processes. Work to increase the reliability and predictability of Nova launch processes. Where possible, institute metrics and monitor performance for objective assessment.

- As needed, assist Solution marketing and management with various related efforts, such as market research and analysis, value proposition estimations, business scenario development, etc.

- Passion to Improve : Ability to ask/take regular feedback and think continuously of self and skills improvement (Personal, Communication, Technical)

- Personal Style : Evidences high energy, determination, optimism and dynamism

Experience, Qualifications & Skills

- MBA mandatory. Engineering background preferred.

- 10+ years experience in product/solution management and project management relating to the development, launch or implementation of enterprise software applications. Intimate knowledge of the product development process, and demonstrable skills in planning, program management and multi-task dependency coordination.

- Penchant for detailed planning, including timelines, resources, deliverables, dependencies, etc. Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous processes and ensure on-time completion of deliverables, and reliability and accuracy of outcomes.

- Strong inter-personal skills and ability to motivate multiple individuals to execute to plan, without having direct line of authority. Experience managing relationships at the senior management level & experience delivering enterprise solution implementations

- Ability to contribute to strategic, marketing, functional and technical related issues. Structured thinking relating to roadmap development, customer support, and related business processes. Ability to provide input and direction on diverse set of topics, with a usable level of detail.

- Strategic-minded thinker, with demonstrated analytical capability and creativity with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
