Job Title : Consultant Training

Job Function : HRS Human Resources

Summary :

- The individual filling the Consultant - Training position will work collaboratively with team members to deliver training solutions on various processes. Under general direction, the Training Consultant defines learning and organization development objectives that support articulated business outcomes.

- Designs, develops and delivers learning and organization development solutions.

- Analyzes learning and organization development solutions for continuous improvement. Undertakes appropriate operational and administrative aspects of program and project management.

Major Duties :

- Works with management, senior training consultants, performance consultants and/or subject matter experts to understand desired business needs and translate them into departmental learning objectives.

- Works with stakeholders to determine appropriate learning methods and solutions.

- Collaborates with project teams to develop and execute learning project plans.

- Develops and facilitates/delivers quality learning and development programs according to management priorities.

- Maintains a departmental inventory of training materials.

- Evaluates training and organization development programs for effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvements.

Area Specific Duties :

- Design and develop curriculum for various areas, or for change events, within the business unit that can be implemented and delivered regardless of geographic location.

- Coordinate/deliver courses or curriculum, within your location and remotely to other geographic locations.

- Ensure that learning and development interventions are aligned with Business Unit and/or enterprise-wide needs.

- Utilize learning development vehicles, tools or programs developed by other organizations or vendors into external process and external services.

- Consult with business partners to provide feedback on courses and ongoing support.

Knowledge / Skills :

ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) - Industry standard training development.

System and software skills - Technical use of software and applications tools.

Authoring - Training specific development tools: Camtasia, Articulate, and Captivate.

MS Office - Microsoft Office standards: Word and PowerPoint.

Performance Support & Self Service Tools. - Knowledge of performance factors in the workplace such as motivation, resources, job skills, management, training etc., and understanding of company tools to support these.

Change Management - Knowledge of change management phases and approaches and tools to support the change process.

Program Management - Analyze, establish, deliver, and maintain on-going learning programs to company requirements and industry standards.

Project Management. - Knowledge of project management lifecycle (planning, organizing, securing, managing, leading, and controlling resources to achieve specific goals goals); for higher level competencies, execution and management of project life cycles.

Strategic Planning- Proactively align training initiatives to highest business goals and impact.

Vendor Management - Evaluation, selection, monitoring, and administration of vendors used to support training. For lower level competencies, vendor administration supports vendors to execute on deliverables. For higher level competencies, vendor management is the evaluation, selection, and monitoring of vendors and. deliverables.

Interpret & Report Data - Data collection, interpretation, analysis, and reporting to internal and external partners.

Presentation - Development and communication of information to external and internal partners on training goals and deliverables (not to be confused with Delivery and Facilitation of training materials to participants).

Business Partner Relationships - Establish relationships with business partners to discuss key business goals and training needs, and to provide training status updates and changes to training goals and structure.

Consulting - Provide professional advice to support business needs.

Knowledge / Skills / Experience Required :

For this position we are looking for an individual that fits one of two profiles. :

An experienced operations professional willing to develop their technical learning skills in consulting, analysis, design, development, delivery, and evaluation.

Requirements include :

- Three to five years of operations experience or a similar role in Financial Services

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to work with all levels of staff

- Self-starter and team player

- Attention to details

An experienced training professional willing to learn all aspects of the business

Requirements include :

- Seven+ years of training consulting experience

- Excellent communication skills

- Ability to work with all levels of staff

- Self-starter and team player

- Attention to details

Candidates might be asked to submit a technical writing sample, either procedures or training documentation, or develop and present a short training session
