Position Description

- Provide day to day, on-going technical support for product solutions in APJ including identifying potential problems and taking action to address them

- Provide technical consultancy during implementations and upgrade projects, including implementation design, project tasks and estimates

- Provide mentoring and training in product installations, and associated technologies, to other technical consultants within the team

- Provide customer, and vendor, relationship management

- Provide backup support to the pre-sales / sales teams

Position Requirements

- 5+ years of experience in an application/infrastructure support environment

- Prior knowledge of implementing trading systems

- Ability to develop excellent working and business relationships both internally and externally

- Experience in working in projects, specifically the ability to execute project timelines within provided time frames and budgets.

Essential Skills Required:

- Must possess excellent English written and verbal communication skills

- Strong Microsoft Office skills

- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft server side technologies (Windows 2003/2008, SQL Server,)

- Strong knowledge supporting of Microsoft SQL 2005 / 2008 (Reporting Services exposure highly regarded)

- Understanding of XML messaging technologies (WebSphere exposure highly regarded)

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required, as position demands a high level of interaction with Client’s/Company's consultants and senior management of Client/Company.

- Knowledge of best practice Business Continuity planning and execution.

- Strong knowledge in Unix shell scripting

- Able to deploy solutions on Solaris and RedHat Linux

- Strong knowledge in supporting of Sybase

- Experienced in deploying High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions

- Understand concepts of enterprise messaging middleware (NOT XML messaging)

- Exposure to FIX protocols appreciated

Desirable Skills Required;

- Fluent in other languages in addition to English

- Knowledge of Citrix, VMware & C++ / Programming Skills
