POSITION TITLE: Assistant Manager - Consumer Insights  FUNCTION: Consumer Insights  DEPARTMENT & SECTION: Consumer Insights  MANAGER: Consumer Insights Manager   LOCATION : HEAD OFFICE, Gurgaon  Job Purpose(Summary of what the job exists to accomplish) :   - To provide actionable and strategic marketing solutions through consumer research and insight generation for relevant Nestle's categories  - Responsible for the design, service and quality of the tools used for the consumer research projects.   - This position has the primary accountability for the development of insights for multiple categories in India market.  Job Context :   - Consumer insight is one of the critical functions that supports both marketing teams and R&D/product development in identifying consumer needs and designing market strategies and products around it.   - Through quantitative, qualitative research and other insight generation sources,this function helps the organization understand consumer and shopper behaviour and develop relevant market strategies to win leadership in the categories that we are present in as well as to create new products.  - It is a key position with respect to marketing and brand strategy.   - Given that the role handles insights for multiple high growth categories, this role will tend to have an impact on the brands successfully achieving their business objectives in terms of the sales and market share.  Functional linkages :   Hierarchical and Functional linkages : The job holder is an integral member of the India consumer insights team and will report to Consumer Insights Manager.This position will require working closely with the local marketing and communication teams.  Internal :Work with marketing, communication and insight teams to identify and support marketing initiatives  External : Work with consumers/shoppers to generate relevant insights. Own and manage relationship with the Market research agencies to commission insight studies.  Key Responsibilities(A collection of duties and/or responsibilities assigned) :  - Create a business solution by analyzing and incorporating data from all researches - Nielsen, Panel, Trends, and Consumer Research.  - Disseminate information and insights within the brand teams by leveraging various research tools. This role entails linking different pieces of researches & data to come up with insights to drive brand strategy. For example:  - Use different data sources like Household Panel, Nielsen, Usage and Attitude to build the Growth drivers for brands.  - Looking at different researches to help the business generate ideas for the innovation funnel  - Ensure clear communication and interpretation of actionable research and consumer insights across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders  Key Behavioural Competencies Required :   - Strong analytical skills  - Excellent communication as the role will require working across teams and functions  Experience/Knowledge/Technical Skills Required :  - Degree in Mathematics / Statistics/ Engineering or related discipline and MBA - Marketing  - Should have Knowledge of advanced research tools and experience of putting them to business use.  - At least 4-5 years- experience in marketing research function at business or agency side is a must
