Ncyclo - Product Development Architect

Job Purpose :

The Product Development Architect owns the product architecture for a project/product line including scalability design, security design, data flow design and interface design. Authors functional and design specifications, provides technology leadership and ensures adherence to design standards and governance processes.

The role drives business value through architectural innovation such as simplification, extensibility, and supportability. It requires deep technical expertise, the ability to assess the impact of new technology trends in the area of responsibility, and a broad perspective of the business, customers and customer solutions.

What you will be doing:

- Contribution to the strategic vision of Ncyclo project/product line.

- Impact of new technologies on ncyclo products and communicated to development teams.

- Partner with customers/prospects on product functionality and future direction; participate in industry briefings

- Consider customer impact; when considering alternatives. Attitude of quality, diligence and thoroughness.

- Conduct architectural and design reviews.

- Evaluate new technologies/innovations and industry trends.

- Intentionally drives business value through architectural innovation.

- Mentor/provide technical guidance to the development team.

What we are looking for:

- Experience with multiple platforms, web server/application servers, databases, web technologies, object oriented design and programming languages

- Minimum 10 years of software design and development experience

- 3+ years’ experience as software architect or tech lead

- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a product development environment

- Experience working with or contributing to open standards or open source software.

- Expert knowledge of one or more programming languages: C++, .Net, java, PHP.

- Expert knowledge of design patterns and best practices

- Expert knowledge building cloud based web applications

- Expert knowledge of REST style web services

- Expert knowledge with HTML, HTTP, JavaScript, CSS, DOM, Cookies, XML, etc.

- Expert knowledge of agile methodology and experience as a Scrum Product Owner is highly desired.

- Strong debugging and problem solving skills

- Excellent written & oral communication skills

Would be great if you're familiar with:

Analytics:

- Experience with building analytics platforms

- Be able to understand the statistics and science, produced by the R&D team and translate them to meaningful requirements.

- Exceptional analytical skills specifically deep understanding of business analytics, online marketing, big data analytics and visualization

- Well versed in agile methodologies and project management techniques

Integration:

- Expertise building and consuming RESTful APIs

- Evaluate and execute on third party partner integration efforts

Databases:

- Experience with Vertica or other MPP database

- Well-versed with ETL, databases, data modeling, SQL

- Familiarity with unstructured databases

Mobile / Cloud / Other:

- Familiar with iOS and Android mobile development

- Intimate understanding of online advertising technologies (e.g. DSP, SSP, DMP, Exchanges, etc.) is a plus

- Experience with AWS stack(S3, EC2, EMR, Pig, Cloudfront) is an added advantage

- Experience with NoSQL (Cassandra, DynamoDB, CouchDB, Riak, etc.) is an advantage
