National Programming Head-JD

Manage the Programming Network across Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata and the other 23 markets of South Asia FM Limited namely

Discuss and direct issues and activities regarding production and programming, budgets, policies, and news coverage with the National Content Head, National Creative Head, National Music and Promotions Head and Programming Heads, Regional Programming

Evaluate new and existing programming for all stations for suitability and in order to assess the need for changes, using information such as audience surveys and feedback.

Monitor and review programming in order to ensure that schedules are met, guidelines are adhered to, and performances are of adequate quality.

Perform personnel duties such as hiring staff and evaluating work performance

Plan and schedule programming and event coverage based on broadcast length, time availability, and other factors such as community need, ratings data, and viewer

Develop budgets for programming and broadcasting activities, and monitor expenditures to ensure that they remain within budgetary limits.

Develop ideas for programs and features that stations could produce.

He/ she should be responsible for all programming matters to ensure all the stations achieve better audience ratings in line with the agreed direction and timelines set

Also responsible for driving all stations revenue through support for the client promotions and sales team, particularly in the area of idea generation and client management through to ensuring the programming team maximizes all opportunities within sponsorship and promotional activity for the audience and the client.

He/ she should also look to ensuring a positive working environment for all the programming staff across stations, ensuring that each team member feels rewarded and acknowledged for solid performance, and that they feel their growth and future career path is being nurtured. Additionally, he /she must ensure excellent communicate between programming, sales,

He / she must always be on the lookout for new opportunities to enhance the networks performances in any possible way.

- He/ she should work on the overall Programming Strategy to take the brand forward to newer heights.

- Should have a clear understanding of the different key markets, should be from a broadcasting background.
