Role: Head - Category Planning

To do mid to long term overall planning, preparing merchandise/operating plans, coordinate strategic initiatives and take care of new tool/process development for a complete business group

Base Location: Gurgaon

Reporting to: Business Head - Ecommerce

Job Requirements:

- Looking at mid to long term planning and buying directions/strategies

- Preparing merchandise plans and OTB plans aligned with AOP

- Conducting regular category performance reviews

- Responsible for key planning metrics like- Stock cover, GM%, Discounting, Ageing, Sellthru, Full price sellthru

- Take ownership to drive automation and proactive alerts/mechanism within respective functions

- Working with cross functional teams (product, finance, scm, marketing) to drive bigger strategic projects and initiatives

- Coordinate various project activities with different departments, follow-up on agreed upon milestones and maintain tracker for critical projects with weekly updates

- Conduct analysis for assigned business problem by collecting data from all internal and external sources and perform analysis to get answers to business questions.

- Help in putting together business proposal based on trends etc.

- Put together excel models for business scenario analysis

- Conduct Market research for an assigned topic to dig out relevant data and analytics

Skills Required:

- Strong communication and project management skills

- Strong Analytical Skills and Process Orientation- Proficiency in MS-Office is must.

- Knowledge of BI tools/statistics added advantage

- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment

Education and Experience Required:

- Master's in Business Administration- Preferably IIMs/ISB with Engineering background (tier-1)

- 3-7 yrs experience in strategy, planning, operations, finance or related functional areas

- Previous experience in retail & e-commerce added advantage
