Job Title : Asst Manager - Inbound Logistics

Location : Mumbai

Objective of Role: The Supply Chain Logistics Manager would be responsible for getting stocks from all locations, Should be excellent with Inbound Logistics, clearances, Port handling, MIS, good with dealing via agencies, vendors, Should be able to impanel with terminals. Should be able to manage shipping logistics.

To effectively manage the inbound logistics for the organization

( Only candidates from supply Chain management of Inbound Liquid logistics should apply, like crued, edible oils, milk, any liquid, oils,chemicals)

Reporting To: GM Logistics

Business Reporting: CMO

Role Description

Responsibilities:

- To develop systems and processes that allow for tracking and measurement of key parameters that govern performance of lead time

- To keep proactive track & trace of movement of components & finished products in order to manage maximum efficiency & optimum stock inventory and timely delivery of goods.

- Liaise with stores on availability of materials.

- Reserve material at supplier end.

- Material Scheduling & releasing purchase orders to suppliers.

- Ensure efficient management of surface transportation, packing, sales tax, c form, etc

- Effectively manage vendors for ensuring proper delivery of their services and communicate effectively with the vendors - Transporters, forwarding agents, courier companies, etc for movements of goods and track the consignments.

- Involved to support contract administration activities for all warehousing and transportation contracts

- Review of Customer Order with reference to Commercial terms, Product description and entry of order in ERP.

- Planning & Scheduling of open orders, Shipment, Transportation, Invoicing and Documentation

- To communicate effectively with the vendors - Transporters, forwarding agents, courier companies, etc for movements of goods and track the consignments.

- Co-ordination with transporters/C&F agents/Shipping lines

- Maintain & monitor finished goods inventory levels as per the norms

- Preparing the Route plan ( Pickup/ drop )

- Reduce cycle time of product receipt along with document & transfer of ownership

- Coordinate stock taking, stock reconciliation and accounting aspects

- Communication and Co-ordination with Senior Manager - Logistics, Customer Relationship Management, Collections, Loading / Unloading of vehicles, Collection and dispatch of goods at the Hub

- Getting the goods insured for transportation, and claiming damages in the event of any mishap

- Ensuring customer complaints are investigated and closed to the satisfaction of customers

- Responsible for looking after entire license procedure - Liaise with Commissioner/Superintendent for issue of license (E1, E2 & BRL2) .Additionally, follow-up for the licenses at a regular interval

- Responsible for transferring permits for sales from bond to direct distributors after getting the same from SP office.

- Generate various reports e.g. Reports, daily shipment report, export consignment clearance report & preparing export invoice with packing list & transport details

- Effective planning of Export shipment for reducing the transit time & further negotiating with transporter to reduce the fright cost/ton
