PMS Operations
Hands on experience in PMS Operations, Settlements, Client Account Opening & Maintenance and handling Audits.
- Understanding & Responsible for pre-trade compliance, custody co-ordination
- Review & checking of NAV computation through:
- Income & Expenses
- Valuation
- NAV validation & Declaration
- Accounting, monitoring & payments of tax & filing of returns
- Monitoring of expenses including Distributor Payouts.
- Review of trial balance.
- Trade settlements - counter party confirmation, custody confirmation.
- Master creation- all investment masters
- Reconciliation of portfolio between PMS system, client accounting records and custody.
- Responsible for updating corporate action and valuation feeds into system.
- NRI processes, Reconciliations, Software Developments and Customer Service.
- Cash flow management - coordination with banks for opening cash positions, intraday movements and closing cash.
Bank reconciliation :
- Responsible for payment all client expenses. Reconciliation of payments with expense provisions.
- MIS including inputs for documentations, etc;
Compliance Reports :
- Review of half yearly and yearly client accounts, tax assistance & filing of returns
- Monitoring and payment of monthly Custody Fees.
- Liasioning with internal auditors/stat auditors/SEBI auditors
- Liasioning with custodians/stock exchanges for various margin requirements in case of derivative deals and funding of the same
- Worked in the PMS Operations department or with a Bank / Custodian providing outsourced services or with a CA firm doing an audit of PMS providers for 7 - 10 Years.
- Should be a graduate, an inter CA or inter ICWA or professionally qualified person would be preferred.
- Self-starter and confident personality.
- Good team member & a quick learner
- Basic understanding of financial accounting and process reengineering
- Knowledge of and experience of dealing with Miles Software - Money Ware Integra (MWI) would be an advantage
- NCFM Certification - Capital Market (Dealers) Module
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Strong ability to lead a team, excellent communications skills, ability to work under pressure, flexibility to motivate the team and to satisfy our internal clients- needs even if this involves overtime.
- Strong customer and service orientation.
- Ability to work independently and to prioritize the daily workload
- Methodical work style with good problem solving abilities.
- Ability to grasp complex issues.
- Confidence with MS Office products Excel and Word, basic formula and VBA knowledge preferred but not a must
- Independence and high self-motivation in the processing of tasks, even with minimal supervision by management.
- Timely implementation of work and ability to work to deadlines.
- Ability to recognize risk situations in a manual environment and to accurately and promptly respond and escalate.
- Analytical skills, excellent oral and written expression, and confident demeanor.
- Correct and accurate method of operating in compliance with all relevant guidelines, even with a high workload.
