Job Summary :

Direct Taxation function for the Financial Services group of companies

Responsibilities :

- Ensuring Timely Compliances with the provisions of Income Tax for the group of companies including Tax assessments,, Appeals, Transfer pricing, Audits, TDS, Timely payments/Returns filings etc.

- Advising various business like Stock broking, Commodities, NBFC, Private Equity, Asset Management (Mutual Fund, PMS, AIF), Housing Finance with respect to the Direct tax and international tax, etc . Monitoring all updates on the taxation and formulation of tax understanding for each of the business and working on income tax planning projects.

- Relationship building with Consultants and Tax departments and Team management

Key Work Relationships :

Internal : Accounts /Operations departments

External : Government Departments - Income tax, Service tax, and Tax Consultants.

Performance Measurement Indicator :

- Advising on various tax issues, supervising / managing team members on - documentation, research, liaising with accounts /operations for various tax matters

- Ensuring all tax related Compliances on a timely basis

- Monitoring updates, implementing new law changes, and Tax planning.

- Relationship building, Team management & Training team members

Specification Details :

Experience :

- A with experience of 5 yrs plus in Direct Taxation Function

- Financial services industry experience preferred (i.e. - either worked previously in a company in FS sector or part of team in a reputed tax firm advising FS sector clients)

Other Skills :

- have a very good knowledge of Income tax related regulations

- Good Communication skills

Specification :

Minimum Qualification : Chartered Accountant (CA)

Preferred Qualification : CA
