Key Objectives of the Role:

You will be responsible for leading the team to define the strategy and roadmap for the Model N Hi-Tech Suite of Products, with focus on roadmaps around Channel and CRM business processes.

This is a high-level position with broad scope. Yet, you must be very hands-on, defining both market and product requirements and working directly with engineers and architects to define and deliver solutions.

You should be technical and be able to engage on questions of architecture and design. Several of your engineering teams will be remote.

You will need to work collaboratively with product marketing, support, professional services, sales and sales engineering to assist with the go-to-market for your products. You will also act as a key spokesperson for your products in your business unit, and for Model N's presence in the Hi-Tech segment as a whole. You must be comfortable engaging with customers, partners and internal teams in both small and large group settings. You will be frequently asked to speak at conferences and at internal Executive Briefings.

As such, you will have the opportunity and responsibility to help monitor and shape the progress of the business, taking on critical challenges and contributing to the overall strategy.

Responsibilities:

- Write MRDs for your business that show critical thinking and apply superior business acumen

- Drive the product and product solutions direction for a Cloud based business

- Define and drive the business plan, strategy, and tactical work with partners to enable integrations

- Work closely with Product Marketing to assist with the go to market plan

- Drive the roadmap working closely with engineering and a full cross-functional team including product marketing, sales, partners, support etc.

- Manage products through various launch phases and follow-on releases

- Interact with partners, customers and prospects to define market requirements, and translate these requirements into product requirements that the engineering team can deliver within specification, on time, and within budget

- Create and deliver sales training for the direct sales force as well as partner sales forces and technical services and support teams

- Collaborate with Product Marketing to develop product collateral such as product descriptions, presentations, sales tools and technical white papers

- Represent Model N at conferences and other events

- Mentor other product managers in the team

Requirements:

- A minimum of 14 years prior work experience, with at least 6 years in software product management or as a technology lead in an development team

- BS in Computer Science or related technical degree, MS desired

- Experience with Product Managing SaaS Products

- Experience with Salesforce.com, Force.com

- Experience gathering requirements with enterprise customers and field sales

- Superb verbal, written, and presentation skills. Ability to team with and influence people at all levels across functions is required

- MBA from top-tier school

- Knowledge of Pricing, Contract Management, ERP, CRM or analytics applications

- Experience with agile development methodology
