MidaSouk - Chief Technology Officer - Online Discovery Platform - IIT/NIT/BITS

About us: MidaSouk is an internet jeweller discovery platform. At MidaSouk, the customer can go through a jeweller's profile and find information on their store ambiance, staff skill set and hospitality, catalogue of the jeweller's collection and other key information like payment modes, prices, services, offers etc. For jewellers not only do we provide an online presence, but also ensure visibility and getting customers without the hassles of website development and digital marketing. We also offer services like jewellery trend prediction, targeted marketing, news updates and analytics on the industry.

Strategy & Planning:

- As part of the MidaSouk Leadership Team, identify opportunities in delivering the company's services. Identify technology trends and evolving social behaviour that enable and accelerate business

- Responsible for building technical architectures of web as well as mobile platforms keeping scalability and modular architectures in mind.

- Evaluate and identify appropriate technology platforms (including web and mobile application frameworks) for delivering the services.

- Participate as a member of the Leadership Team in establishing governance processes to ensure that objectives are achieved, risks are managed and the organizations resources are used responsibly, particularly in the areas of software development.

- Collaborate with the appropriate departments to assess and recommend technologies that support company organizational needs.

Operational Management:

- Technology Planning, Budgeting and Management.

- Ensure that technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization.

- Ensure company technical problems are resolved in a timely and cost-effective manner.

- Establish standards of performance and monitor conformance for the team (through performance review) and vendors (through service level agreements).

- Ensure that the company's internal technological processes and customer-facing services comply with community expectations and applicable laws and regulations for privacy, security, and social responsibility.

Skills:

- Full Stack Developer with hands-on knowledge of Open source Technologies and Platforms including python, UI/UX Technologies, Repositories and version control tools, project management and monitoring tools.

- Hands-on knowledge of Android and iOS Development, strong understanding of other mobile platforms.

- Experience in architecture design and database structure designs from scratch.

Candidate Profile:

- Education Qualification: BE/BTech from a tier 1 institute.

- Experience of converting Functional needs into powerful technology solutions.

- Experience of building scalable and highly maintainable solutions.

- Strong knowledge of Security and Scalability Operations.

- Strong Process orientation and data driven approach.
