Partner / Channel, Marketing Manager - MMDS (Microsoft Mobile Devices & Services)

Location: Anywhere in India

Purpose of the job:

Marketing Head for the LO supporting marketing activities, programs across all channels

Role & Responsibilities:

- Managing a team of Retail & Customer Marketing Managers for the states and marketing coordinator.

- Budget allotted is utilized for point of purchase, dummies, LO joint marketing activities, promotional and tactical activities, etc.

Objectives:

Key Pivot and interface for Area Marketing/GTM plans to be executed in the LO. Works with the LO GM to share the program roadmap and marketing inputs to deliver targeted sales/marketing objectives and enhance brand health in the LO.

Marketing Planning:

- Create & drive LSO Marketing Strategy, in collaboration with cross functional teams to drive business

- Drive and support 360 campaign touch-points of communication in ATL, Retail, Digital, CRM including adding on activities and adapting campaigns to grow Market Share and achieve Sales Objectives in the LO.

- Bring in local insights to enable better Marketing Planning with Area Marketing Team in both ATL and BTL.

- Drive marketing calendar with local teams for ensuring optimal ROI.

- Build activities for Consumers to educate / promote products / technology/ new technology domains

- Participate in Brand Marketing Strategic Planning to contribute to Brand and Channel Marketing's role in supporting the business growth consistently and to sustain the brand image.

Implementation of channel wise consumer value proposition and visibility:

- Clear structured Channel Marketing strategy for LSO delivered to the channel teams

- Drive traffic to retail, convert visits to purchase, using all elements to establish a connection with consumers and sales people which is both exciting and compelling through effective planning and execution.

- Ensure planned spends in line with the Marketing and Programs Calendar. Ensure spends accuracy for the LSO

- Local marketing team adoption/implementation/execution of the strategy as appropriate for their market priorities and relevant business strategies

- Responsible for consistent and cost effective delivery, monitoring & measurement of company Assets to deliver ROIs on retail investments.

- Explore opportunities of enhancing presence in New Channel segments

- Adhere to Brand Guidelines for Look and Feel in different kinds of channels

- Conceptualize the BTL initiatives for the LSO

- Conceptualizing of market specific BTL program to maintain and increase the market share and visibility.

- To ensure effective implementation of LSO and national level BTL programs through his/her team.

Engagement with Trade - To increase their - Desire to Sell- products:

- Conceptualize, implement and manage Trade promotion programs

- Develop and implement channel excitement programs for new product launches and sales sustenance

- Evangelize new technologies, innovations in trade for creating stronger push at channels

Managing Resources:

- Managing Team of Retail and Customer Marketing Managers to ensure implementation of LSO marketing programs

- Facilitate the sharing of local learning's and support LSO teams as requested in planning

- Management and tracking of LSO budgets

Leading and Coaching :

a) Sets direction based on strategy, with a clear direction, goals and targets. Delegates work appropriately and fairly.

b) Empowers, trusts & motivates others. Provides others with development opportunities and coaching.

Competitive tracking, analysis & feedback on a periodic basis

KRAs:

Key Pivot and interface for Marketing/GTM plans in a geographical sales territory across channels. Is responsible for :

- Brand building

- Increasing market share

- Brand consideration & Strength Of Preference (both MP & SD)

- Retail visibility, Retail sales personnel recommendation

- Retail rollouts

- Marketing activity calendar across channels

- Visual merchandising, planogram consistency

- Competitive tracking, analysis and planning

- Team management

- Relevant Training Content Development, Customization and Roll out of Capability Building Initiatives as per plan.

- Sales Productivity Improvement measured for MMDS and extended sales teams through before and after output measures.

- Quality Certification of Sales Promoters, Sales Assistants, NBR Shop Staff.

- Development of relevant web enabled Training tools and their implementation

- Improving Productivity of Training spends

- Sales IT Tools Initiatives and Projects meeting agreed Project deliverables.

Skill and knowledge required:

Behavioral Skills:

- Ability to multi task, adapt to market dynamics, portray effective leadership skills, strong influencing skills & team player

Functional Skills:

- This role requires strong operational skills backed with good understanding of various marketing functions like category planning, retail marketing, vendor management and localization management.

Work experience of 10-12 years and should be a MBA degree holder with specialization in Marketing. Candidates from Premier B.School will be preferred.
