Our thought leadership in the assessments domain is also reflected in our active blog at http://blog.mettl.com   Job Description   The Mettl sales team is responsible for licensing our SaaS based assessment platform to businesses. As part of licensing, these businesses use the Mettl platform to create and conduct assessments for various business use cases. Our platform is mainly relevant for assessments in Recruitment (fresher and lateral hiring in companies), Training Effectiveness and Education (MOOCs, Publishers, Education Service Companies, Certification and Test Prep Companies). The primary buyer of our product is either an HR Head or a Business Head depending upon the business use case.   Reporting to the India Sales Head, as a Territory Sales Head, primary responsibility will be towards building and managing a focused sales organization towards achieving the Territory revenue target This will in turn lead to responsibility for generating and closing business deals in that territory with key businesses by identifying their requirements and offering our product mapped to those requirements. In addition, this will also entail strong managerial skills from you to setup, manage and run a solid sales machinery for the assigned geography. This role also would consist of building and representing the Mettl brand in India and associated PR activities.   By its very nature, this role is one of the most critical roles in our organization at present and we are looking more for a mind share partner than an employee.   Key Responsibilities:   - Owning revenue targets for the territory   - Mentoring / Building / Managing the sales team   - Source and build a pipeline of key potential clients and strategic partners   - Mange key accounts and drive closure (hunting)   - Driving and ensuring smooth usage of Mettl by your accounts (farming)   - Participate in industry events and develop new networks   - Support all marketing and PR efforts for India; contribute to the central online marketing efforts as well   - Evangelize the product by networking with key technology / educational publications   - Engage with internal product team to discuss client feedback and support new product development   Preferred Experience & Attributes:   - 5-7 years of relevant exposure in setting up and managing on-ground sales teams.   - Have demonstrated strong success in the past of scaling similar B2B businesses (selling technology solutions / products to HR is a big plus) and experience of handling high caliber teams of 5-10 people   - Be willing to wear multiple hats – that of a “hunter” when closing new sales leads and that of a “farmer” when there is a need to penetrate deeper into a particular account.   - Strong analytical skills and fast learner, with proven ability to share insights that drive results and customer value.   - Have good leadership, teamwork, organizational and interpersonal skills, with tremendous attention to detail.   - Self-starter   - Feel at home in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.   - Preferably be a person who has grown businesses in the Assessments / HR / education industry   Location: Bangalore, India
