Summary of Job Objective & Description:-

To provide leadership and direction to the respective Location Operations. To be responsible for the location’s day-to-day operating activities, and all P&L responsibilities including revenue and sales growth; expense, cost and margin control; and monthly, quarterly and annual financial goal management.

Job Description/Key Deliverables:-

1. Profit Centre Management

2. To manage all branch functional deliverables with respect to people management, operational efficiencies including fleet management, subscriber management, and customer management and location profitability.

3. To drive and plan all operational strategies, implementing systems & procedures, MIS, Income & Expenditure Budgeting & facilitate the growth of the branch operations with optimal cost management.

4. Establish enduring relationships with customers - corporate & retail and enable a high degree of visibility and credibility for the MERU brand.

5. To set up processes and systems to enhance operational efficiencies including development of relevant MIS on a periodic basis, Optimize Car Maintenance Costs & Vehicle performance & establish Service Level Agreements which would include-Standards to ensure cars reach required destination on time & No drop outs.

6. Responsible for ensuring all operational expenditure & Quality Services are delivered to ensure compliance and expenditure is within budgetary limits

7. To ensure adherence to Customer service policy to ensure high satisfaction from the fleet services

8. Responsible for establishing a subscriber hiring, training & orientation plan as per the deployment specifications for the city & ensure effective implementation, also periodic refresher training courses held for existing drivers.

9. To work with the maintenance teams in the city to ensure minimal down time of taxis through good maintenance practices & ensure maintenance costs are optimized and plans are implemented to constantly monitor vehicular performance

10. To manage staffing, performance management and retention strategies for the location.

Essential Candidate specifications:-

1. To have handled large scale operations in the Service Industry, Car rental, Fleet, Courier, BPO, logistics, Taxi business or similar businesses.

2. Desirable B School graduates from a tier 2 B-School.

3. Experience in leading multifunctional teams.

4. Market savvy, with good PR & communication skills

5. Should have experience as a Profit Centre Head or Senior Level (Ops) position with a mid-sized operation

6. Ability to handle government agencies & unions

7. Should be able to work effectively on profitability, cost effectiveness & scalable business operation

Internal / External Interactions - Both - HIGH / MEDIUM / LOW

Internal- CEO, Function Heads at the corporate and local levels in staff and operation functions.
External- Clients, Vendors, Contractors, Govt. Agencies, local authorities, taxi unions

Experience required [in years]:

Relevant Exp- (8-10 years) in Operations in any Cab Services/Fleet Operators / Total Exp 10-15 Yrs in Operations in any Service Industry.

Substantial experience in the Automotive / Logistics Background with large exposure to managing a blue collared subscriber base.

Academic Qualification required:- Preferably Post Graduate (Mechanical or Automobile) , or Any Graduate
