Job Purpose Summary:

- This position manages the capital financing and investment program utilizing effective and innovative financing methods to achieve desired investment and financial goals of organization. The role comprises of the action on acquiring and managing debt.

- The position provides guidance in determining the best type of loan and explaining loan requirements or restrictions. Role to develop debt management plans, advise on credit issues, or provide budget, mortgage, and bankruptcy counseling.

Competencies:

Technical:

- Finance and accountancy foundation skills with experience working in the power sector

- Experience and understanding of working with modern accounting software (financial forecasting & analysis software)

- Accurate forecasting and construction of budgets

- Foundation knowledge and application international financial reporting standards for financial reporting

- Foundation knowledge in the power sector understanding the fundamentals

- Significant SAP knowledge

- The ability to plan and organize work to meet deadlines and not exceed these

- Analytical skills to identify variances

- Ability to produce accurate reports

- The role requires strict adherence to company ethics policy

- Communications skills suitable to interact with all levels of management

- Computer literacy - MS Office package with strong excel skills

- Excellent organizational skills

- Attention to detail and accuracy

- Extensive knowledge of securities and financial regulatory requirements including SEC, FASB, and GASB.

- Understanding of banking and the Govt. Reserve System, capital markets and economic indicators.

- Understanding of capital markets financing tools, including certificates of participation, revenue bonds and leverage leasing.

- Ability to develop and/or analyze alternative financial strategies, identifying strengths and weaknesses.

Key Accountabilities Expected Outcomes:

- Analysis of financial data Analyzes financial proposals related to the existing debt portfolio and ongoing capital programs and makes recommendations for re-financing.

- Directs capital financing transactions Issuance, management and administration of revenue bonds, commercial paper, certificates of participation and derivative transactions.

- Cash Forecasting Performs cash forecasting and asset/liability matching to assure the timely satisfaction of organizational liabilities.

- Debit Issuance Process Coordinates debt issuance and related disclosure process and manages efforts of multi-disciplinary team of professionals comprising the financing team.

- Budget Management Develops and manages budget related to debt service, advisory fees and other expenses related to the issuance and management of debt and investments.

- Compliance Administration Assures that financing complies with rules and regulations imposed on issuers of tax-exempt debt by the Department of Treasury and the Indian Revenue Service. Ensures compliance with legal covenants and disclosure requirements related to lease purchase and debt financings.

- Policy Administration Manages acquisition, execution and ongoing administration of interest rate exchange agreements (swaps) and annually reviews and recommends modifications to general policies, Interest Rate Exchange (Swap) Policy and Investment Policy.

- SMART reporting for derivative data Accuracy of predictions

- Future implementation of SAP Successful project management

Communication And Working Relationships:

- Internal communications with budget holders and line managers.

- Potentiality of external communication with banks, lenders & debt agencies.

Qualifications And Experience:

- B.Com, MBA - Finance, CA, SAP - FI/CO

- Overall 15 years previous experience linked to EPC & power plant financial management

- Experience in a responsible position within the public & private finance arena to include the issuance and management of organizational debt process.

- Experience in comprehensive portfolio management methodologies for a fixed income portfolio including money markets, intermediate-term fixed income investment instruments, and portfolio hedging strategies.
