Medlife.com is a start-up venture backed by promoters with several years of experience in pharmaceutical and healthcare e-commerce space. Medlife.com aims to revolutionize healthcare delivery in India by providing value added services to all stakeholders.   We are looking for a Business Manager with proven experience in strategy, people development and detailed execution; to help us build a world-class customer experience through our consumer portal. This is not a consulting role, but hardcore start-up general management role. This is a leadership position who will be responsible for building and developing a high-performance team and will play a key role in defining the strategic direction for the business unit. This position will have a team that would consist of buying/vendor managers, in-stock/operations managers, site merchandisers & pricing managers and can be further developed as per requirements.  Key Deliverable:  - Research, Analyse the wellness market in India to formulate solid launch strategy for wellness online shop  - Spearhead and launch the first version of wellness products website within planned time frame.  - Plan and set up the team to scale business in various categories and drive aggressive growth  - Review, Analyze and Improve both top line and bottom line for this business unit through innovative ideas and implementation methods  Responsibilities:  - Planning for the business unit, recruiting top notch talent from market for making the high-delivery team  - Planning and implementing routine processes, including but not limited to procurement, merchandising, marketing, reporting, managing vendors & sellers and hiring resources and agencies.  - Planning and developing the product range and finalizing the pricing strategy for products  - Forecasting trends, planning stock and monitoring performance   - Regularly reviewing and reporting performance of category buying and selling plan  - Interacting with other teams like supply chain, marketing and customer platform to drive growth and improve customer experience  Skills / experience:   - Proven experience in leadership roles across detail oriented functions, such as consulting, finance, and P&L/general management. Retail/ e-commerce experience is a plus, exposure to health and wellness sector is preferable but not mandatory.  - Superior analytical skills, including strong ability to identify and solve highly ambiguous problems.  - Successful experience in hiring, people development and managing large multi-level teams.  - Should be able to create and deliver on product vision, goal, strategy, and roadmap with focus on excellent customer experience  Qualification:   Graduate or Post-Graduate from premier schools (IIM/ IIT preferred but not mandatory). Bangalore location preferable, 1 month notice period preferable.
