Position Title: General Manager /Deputy General Manager – Marketing (Brand)

Location: Mumbai

Detailed Job Description:

9 to 15 years of Marketing experience (5 to 7 years of Brand Management experience is mandatory) in FMCG, Retail experience

Band: Management Advisory

Competency Level: Leading Managers

Strategic Brand Management:

1. Look at Business and Brand as a whole and driving linkages, drive the National Marketing plan, be accountable for Brand Share and Market Share

2. To create a vision for the Brand as a whole that marries with its audiences. The incumbent of this position will look to consolidate work of the Brand and Media custodians into effective calendars that reflect the aspirations of the Company,

3. Collaborates, defines common goals and be the catalyst to ensure national marketing plans are aligned with, compliment and communicate Brand Business plans and key targets for growth.

4. Brings to life the Brand and People Promise for customers, local communities, and employees.

5. Creates and develops culturally relevant strategic marketing plan that contributes to the achievement of the short and long term consumer and financial objectives.

6. Ensures the ongoing strength of the McDonald's Brand and key Brand icons, i.e. Ronald, French Fries, et al.

7. Serves as member of the national country planning team to lead the delivery of objective consumer and business insights that shape priorities

8. Based upon relevant data, provides clear direction regarding strengths and weaknesses of the brand and defines key threats and challenges.

9. Anticipates client research requirements and develops and communicates longer–term plans and processes to best meet information needs

10. Plans annual assessment of the brand (Brand Audit) to identify issues/growth opportunities

Cost Controls & Administration:

1. Masters all financial indicators in all Business / Operations related financial reports and uses them to direct and/or consult others to make sound judgments and decisions.

2. Leads the budgeting process for the function.

3. Responsible for managing & creation of budgets with given budget and obtain maximum Return On Investment across various categories.

4. Drive top line profitability & cost efficiencies through continuous reviews.

5. Fulfils the requirements of administrative duties in planning, managing and reviewing Marketing department’s General and Administrative budget.

6. Ensures that all advertising, promotion materials and packaging follow the appropriate legal and partner approval protocols.

7. Adheres to fundamental agreements in alliance contracts (For example; creative approvals, royalties, third-party pass through, ambush, promotion dates)

8. Ensuring & creating marketing strategies that is restaurant friendly at the same time stays alert to recognize operational inefficiencies linked to the function, diagnoses and analyzes the cause, ensure that corrective action is taken and facilitate necessary changes to avoid future occurrences.

9. Leads the agency/partner in the development, execution and on-going evaluation of all relevant aspects of the marketing strategy (For Example: creative, media, promotion, research etc.) PAN India
