Max Life Insurance - Senior Manager - Investment - Mid Office (5-7 yrs)

Key Responsibilities:

The role will be responsible for two major areas:

1. Compliance to Regulatory and internal guidelines

a. Ensuring that portfolio is in compliance to all regulatory and internal guidelines at all times

b. Online/real time monitoring of investment deals and engaging with Front Office (dealers and/or fund managers) in case of any deal not in conformity to the policy or Standard Operating Procedures

c. Keeping track of all changes to regulatory guidelines around investments and ensuring implementation within timeline with adherence

d. Evaluate new/proposed asset types, their management, automation, compliance to guidelines

e. Ensure all MIS are published without any errors

f. Own the IP and SOP for any changes proposed by FO or BO. Bring forth adequate rationale via a business case for any changes proposed by MO

2. System implementation :

a. Responsible for end to end testing (including creating exhaustive scenarios), implementation and system migration for investment middle office

b. Deep and smooth co-ordination with Front, Back office, IT for system migration

c. Continuous automation of investment processes, reporting and compliance for new and existing asset classes

d. Ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal guidelines in the system both during and post implementation

3. Middle Office operations :

a. Act as back up in the Middle office team for investment operations and hence to be fully ready for other areas of MO apart from system implementation

b. Enhance manual template and ensure that new system replaces the manual templates

c. Add value to the MO team by taking up additional responsibilities that help manage investment risks better.

d. Support for various audits, BCP testing

4. Other responsibilities :

a. Have a foresight on any limit breaches and highlight in advance for FO to take an action

b. Contribute/value add to CRO dashboard for matters relating to MO operations

c. Present effectively to CRO/MIRG any concerns on operational matters

d. Have a market connect by maintaining relationship with counterparts in peer companies
