Job Summary :  As CM-Govt/Regulatory, the incumbent will assist the head of the function in delivering on the Regulatory agenda. These include making significant contributions in creating and implementing advocacy initiatives, developing a clear understanding of agenda issues/identifying possible trade-offs, as also effective stakeholder management at the designated levels, and being responsible for documentation, logistics and project management of the various initiatives.  Key Responsibilities/ Key Deliverable :  - Clear understanding of the policy/regulatory issues in the agenda;  - Effective mapping of key stakeholders;  - Development & maintenance of an effective competitive & market intelligence system (MIS) from a Regulatory perspective.  - Effective networking at defined levels through professional means.  - Consistent focus on Regulatory agenda to meet goals  - Creating competitive advantage from domain excellence through quality research/superior knowledge banks/imbibing of international best practices through self research and collation of research by others  - Research on regulatory matters, including research on international best practices   - Drafting of advocacy statements and stakeholder specific key messaging   - Coordination with internal expertise clusters and external consultants   - Acting as secretary in internal and external meetings and preparing agenda and minutes of the meetings   - Managing governance processes and rhythms   - Doing background work, substantive, procedural and logistical, for regulatory meetings internally and externally   - Effective contribution in driving Regulatory/policy agendas through external forums/informal coalitions  - Access to multiple channels like direct dialogue, use of industry associations, Life Council, other coalitions, civil society, different forms of media, events, use of think tanks and evangelists, use of external consultants  - Timely reporting of information/insights to functional head & initiation of relevant actions to deal with the same  Job Specifications :  - Preferably MBA or LLB  - Minimum experience of 10 years, of which 4- 6 years should be in public affairs/government relations or related field with increasing managerial responsibilities and demonstrated superior communication skills.   - Demonstrated experience in economics or financial services related research and paper writing  - Experience of working with the Financial Regulator(s) / Ministry of Finance is preferred.  - Experience in life insurance is an added advantage.  Knowledge & Skill Matrix :   - Strong sensitivity towards monitoring market developments, future trends,  - Attention to detail and white paper writing skills and a flair for preparing PPTs  - Advocacy capabilities,  - Strong research/fact-based communication of positions in the development of Representations/White Papers,  - Effective networking at relevant levels,  - Effective participation in external forums/informal coalitions  - Proactively working with cross-functional teams to further the regulatory agenda  - Ability to adhere to agenda wise plan of action  - Ability to monitor progress & make course corrections where necessary-to deliver  - Discipline in maintaining regularly updates to management on progress w.r.t the agenda  - Strong project management skills with high level of comfort in using advanced tracking and reporting tools like dashboards, etc
