Max Life Insurance - Assistant Vice President - HR (9-13 yrs)

Key Responsibilities:

- Translate HR objectives into a workable HR plan. Deploy and implement in consultation with business in order to ensure a sufficient HR plan exists to support Business Plans

- Assist management to determine the most effective organization structure in support of evolving business requirements; Propose & deploy structure for assigned functions in order to ensure that the structure facilitates high quality interactions and decision making while eliminating gaps and overlaps

- Support business in decision making (Fitment) and allocation of compensation quantum for assigned functions; Drive moderation of ratings for the assigned patch; Arrive at judicious mix of compensation and the justification balanced with cost

- Enable implementation of Performance Management process for the functions; Assist the business heads in making promotion decisions; Sign off on exceptions till Band 4; Identify critical positions and suitable candidates for development, Formulate individual career development plans in conjunction with Management; Oversee implementation of annual performance appraisal process in order to ensure timely completion of performance management cycle. Ensures implementation of Organisation and Talent Review for FLG Function.

- Evolve training and development in corporate functions in line with business strategy; Monitor execution of full training loop (TNA, delivery and feedback), Identify potential leaders and pipeline; Monitor and review implementation of policy in order to develop a skilled and motivated team

- Overall responsibility for employee engagement in corporate functions; design and execute employee engagement plan for various functions depending upon their unique engagement needs; ensure retention

- Implement reward and recognition schemes, communicate new schemes as appropriate with relevant guidelines in order to ensure that talent is appropriately recognized, motivated and developed

- Manage EDAP (Employee Disciplinary Action Process) ? the process of investigation and action taken on Employee Grievances / Disciplinary issues / Workplace Harassment, violation of ethical norms. Monitor compliance with policies; Manage critical incidents; Handle grievances; Track and report issues and actions taken. Provide coaching and counselling in order to build a motivated team; and ensure smooth and cordial relations

Desired qualification and experience

- Must be a Management Graduate (MBA degree with specialization in HR preferred)

- Team Player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can function effectively at all levels of an organization

- Ability to negotiate and actively facilitate change in culture, strategy, process, etc. Exposure to change management will be an added advantage

- Project management skills with a proven track record for delivery of practical business solutions

- Demonstrated ability to lead self and others

- Should have strong executive presence, independent thinking capability and project management experience

- High on energy, drive, passion, and commitment with ability to challenge status quo in an enabling style

- Self driven, with strong process orientation
