Hiring for a UK base company into water testing analysis equipment.

Plan and organise marketing campaigns, making best use of resources:

- Through effective internal communications, ensure other team members and distributors are aware of marketing and PR initiatives and campaigns in order to maximise effectiveness

- Identify and assist with contracting for suitable suppliers of marketing and PR services. Ensure marketing and PR service suppliers have clear objectives to achieve, and monitor/report on supplier performance

- Effectively implement marketing plans, using both in-house resources and where appropriate, working with agencies, printers, publications (on-line as well print) and other relevant suppliers, to ensure deadlines are met, and high quality communications to customers are achieved

- Maintain company websites, developing content for approval by Managing Director and ensuring sites are optimised

- Monitor the performance of marketing activity, providing reports on performance against objectives for each campaign or activity

- Carry out market research as called for by the research and development projects and marketing plan, to ensure customers requirements and suitable sales channels are identified

Continuously improve marketing communications in order to increase sales leads:

- Following the priorities of the marketing plan, and also taking advantage of new opportunities as they arise, draft regular lively and informative press releases, newsletters and articles to be posted on the web, distributed to the appropriate trade press and emailed to appropriate distributors and end-users

- Draft informative and interesting sales and technical information for upload onto the website including an FAQs section

- Liaise with suppliers of website services to ensure the site is optimised and continuously increasing traffic and click through rates

- Draft new and regularly update existing product information brochures, flyers, catalogues, posters, information videos and presentations, and advertisements in print and video format to meet the objectives of the marketing plan, and in accordance with best sales practice

- Assist in the development of other forms of customer communication, including manuals and instructions, both printed, and in video format, ensuring accuracy and ease of understanding

Manage the customer databases, ensuring the accuracy of the data they contain is continuously improving:

- Working with other team members, continuously review and improve the procedures for updating information on the customer databases, to ensure accuracy

- Carry out periodic reviews of the accuracy of the customer databases and take appropriate action to improve accuracy both internally and by contacting customers direct, working collaboratively with other team members

Oversee the effective implementation of events in order to ensure marketing objectives are achieved:

- Draft and coordinate the production of sales seminar materials, including presentations, videos and printed materials

- In accordance with the marketing plan, organise and coordinate all aspects of exhibitions, working with other departments collaboratively to ensure deadlines are met and a high quality event is achieved

- Ensure suitable publicity is carried out to generate maximum exhibition visitor numbers

- Assist in the planning and execution of webinars

Contribute to the growth in sales through effective support of the sales team:

- Support the internal sales function in times of high demand and/or staff absence

- Produce and distribute accurate monthly sales reports and statistics as required by the team

- Work collaboratively with other team members to continuously improve procedures and systems

- Liaise with internal sales team to ensure customer requirements and expectations are met

Essential Skills and Experience:

- A skilled marketing and PR professional, with in-depth experience of all aspects of the marketing mix

- Experience of marketing technically specified products/services to businesses

- Skilled and experienced E-marketer, with in-depth knowledge of web-site optimisation, and email campaigns

- Experience of working on own initiative with full responsibility for quality of output and performance

- Experience of PR, including PR planning, building media lists, monitoring, and journalist liaison

- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills, with the ability to analyse text and create audience specific communications

- An in-depth knowledge of the sales process and how to contribute to effective selling through excellent communications

- Experienced and skilled in Microsoft Office and other programs, especially Word, databases
