Marketing Head - OTC (10-14 yrs)

Position: Marketing Head OTC

Reporting to: Business Head - OTC

Superior and Position (L+2): India Business Head

- The Head of Marketing is responsible for the performance and health of all brands in India and will actively support the vision of incorporating a new mindset to broaden how the company brings its brands alive to consumers and shoppers.

- He/she heads and coaches the Marketing Team and it is his/her obligation to form an efficient and effective team which smoothly cooperates with all internal and external partners.

- The Head of Marketing is to discuss and set clear targets for every team member and to track the fulfillment. Close collaboration with the Head of Sales DHs / GTMs of other Rx businesses is essential to achieve outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for meeting the agreed and committed topline plans for the year for each category / brands and beating market share objectives

- Defining the overall marketing strategy of the business in cooperation with the Business Head including ATL-&BTL-budget allocation, media selection, launch / relaunch / exit-recommendations, sales support in terms of marketing material

- Identifying the optimum mix of marketing efforts and spends in Consumer and Shopper programs for each brand / category

- Making the marketing team the creative power house of the company, i.e. constantly challenging the internal and external status quo with new ideas, benchmarking competitive moves, initiatives and processes

- Building talent which can appreciate, understand and leverage consumer marketing opportunities for each brand

- Developing, implementing and controlling a detailed Marketing Plan as the basis for the overall Business Plan with the team for all categories

- Implementing a planning mindset within the marketing team in order to assure forward-thinking and fulfilment of tactical and strategic activities

- Seeking strong internal collaboration between the Marketing Team and other teams namely Trade and Ethical teams

- Creating an annual marketing plan for each brand and keeping a control on the cost / expenditure budgets.

- Aligning the work of creative, media, PR and other (BTL- agencies by assuring regular flow of relevant information and by initiating regular update meetings with all partners)

- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and interpret it to the field. Drawing inference from raw data. Ability to understand information sources, leverage them and interpret it for business development, market share improvement and managing revenues.

- Influencing Skills: getting results for topline and bottomline through people and coordination with multiple departments for smooth operations of the products in the basket and new product planning and launch.

- Coaching Skills: to manage the Marketing Team.

- Curiosity/ Questioning skills: Ability to bring out the best in the team by constantly probing on the communication/ Inputs.

- Creativity: Ability to brief and extract creative output from a variety of partners including advertising, BTL agencies.

- Presentation & Articulation Skills: to be able to present to various levels of stakeholders on the area of marketing.

- Written Communication: to write good copy, brand monologue etc

- Planning: Ability to strategically plan the marketing programs for the brands including, topline, support, activities, spends, etc by month, quarter and year.
