Manufacturing Engineer - Automotive (5-12 yrs)

Key areas of accountability:

- Lead multi-disciplinary supply chain/project teams for execution and release of new product introductions (design transfer and manufacturing transfer) with minimal disruption of actual production & work on multiple projects at a time

New Product Introduction & Industrialization:

- Contribute in Building Industrial footprint, Manufacturing & Supply Chain Strategy

- Represents the Operation in Project Core team for every NPI

- Leads, manages, coordinates with cross-functional groups for the execution and release of New Product Introductions /Industrial Transfer Projects (In international context) & Report the overall progress to the CME MT & SDT

- Involvement in Design reviews, DFMEA, Prototype Builds and support to improve manufacturability & ensure operations requirements are met

- Ensure factory readiness for New Products/Industrial Transfer projects in-terms of all aspects & Smooth ramp up.

- Initiate the design review & Contribute for improving the manufacturability of the New Products

- Reviewing Milestones in Product realization process & Contributes for successful project completion

- Manage industrial transfers on time with right agreements (Quality, SLA etc)

- Support NPI Buyers & SQE for Supplier selection as well as Establishing the right process at Supplier end & PPA Approval

Industrial Engineering:

- Capacity Planning and Factory Layout Preparation.(Lean Mfg. Layout & Improve space utilization)

- Time and Method study

- Support Rollout of New functionality within SAP

- VSM - To identify NVA in value chain and deployment
