Manufacturing Commercial Finance Business Partner

Role name: Manufacturing Finance Business Partner Supply and support

PURPOSE: To be the strategic finance business partner to the Manufacturing leadership team by driving the annual planning process, monitoring ongoing performance and challenging the team to continuously arrive at better investment and cost savings decisions.

Context: To proactively analyze and communicate the financial impacts associated with Manufacturing units. Analyze manufacturing cost structures, Overheads, conceptualize and drive cost saving initiatives.

Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the Manufacturing Leadership Team to develop manufacturing strategy/business plans, finalize the major initiatives for the fiscal and provide full support in achieving targeted Productivity savings

- Support the Manufacturing function leadership in monitoring and driving business performance by providing concise and quality management information (regular and ad-hoc) on key business drivers including variance analysis

- Analyze the underlying cost structures, the nature of those costs and offer sound commercial advice to manage costs in manufacturing function effectively

- Work closely with other Supply Finance business partners, Treasury and FP&R teams to understand the state of business across various dimensions and recommend forward-looking Manufacturing strategies to the senior management

- Implement and follow organizational standards, controls, compliance and policies as defined; escalate exceptions or questionable practices to direct manager or functional leadership

- Lead or support projects within Finance especially projects related to streamlining and/or improving processes and systems

- Ensure that cost efficiency and a cost conscious culture is a key focus for the business units leadership team

- Actively participate in leadership meetings and forums

- Managing and delivering the budget, financial plan and forecasting for all manufacturing units and HO Mfg. Team

- Management of the operational budget and providing variance analysis to ensure delivery of results

- Implementation of finance and risk processes and controls for Tie-up Units

- Provide accurate and timely monthly management reporting including variance analysis

- Timely provision of period-end reports with insightful analysis

- Robust Cost Controls reducing leakages

- Enhanced delivery of finance partnership to the manufacturing function SELECTION CRITERIA: what experience, qualification and behaviors are required

Experience (Years & Specialty):

- 7-8 years of Supply Finance/Business Partner or consulting experience

- Experience in Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis is preferred

- Experience in a Big 4 Accounting firm, FMCG, Alco-Bev or Manufacturing industries is preferred

Educational qualification:

- MBA Finance / CA / CFA (Level-3)

- Knowledge of SAP FICO and other USL Finance systems is essential
