ROLE : Functional Consultant/ Lead consultant – Merchandise Analytics

REPORTS TO : Vice President & Product Management– Merchandise Analytics

EXPERIENCE : 8-10 Years

EDUCATION : Engineering or Graduation / Post graduation from NIFT, MBA

BROAD RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conceptualize and develop the feature-functionality of ARC Merchandise analytics portfolio

- Create and own the market requirements and product requirements document

- Gather and assimilate market, customer and competitive intelligence to develop the competitive capability, functional specifications and, engineering specifications

- Work with engineering and product management to develop and execute the product release plan

- Create the demo scripts and functional use cases and perform functional testing

- Work with sales and marketing for launch planning, positioning, messaging and pricing

- Be the solution consultant with customers during pre-sales , run the pre-sales workshop and helps in responding RFP

- Be the retail consultant during deployment workshop and interface between customers and deployment team for all business requirements

- Serve as the internal and external evangelist of the portfolio, interface with customers and partners to understand business & technological environments, current and future requirements; participate in customer events and user conferences as a solutions expert

- Own functional training for sales teams and channel partners

PRE-REQUISITES FOR THE ROLE:

- Graduate Degree in Engineering or Graduate / Post graduate Degree from NIFT an MBA from a front line Business School

- Strong understanding in Sales Forecasting / Price(ing)/Inventory/Assortment Optimization in Retail industry for both Fashion and Food & Grocer across retail formats

- 8-10+ years or relevant experience with at least 2+ years of experience as a Business or Technology Consultant in this space

- Experience in retail technology in the merchandising domains

- Understand the sources of data in retail

- Any BI tool exposure or BI features understanding would be added advantage

- Exposure to work with any international retailer is must

- Ability to work with global, cross-location organizations in an entrepreneurial environment

- Excellent executive communication and presentation skills
