Manager - Technical Accounting - CA - BPO (4-5 yrs)

Here is a brief role description :

- Experience on analysis of embedded derivatives accounting, Apex, swap ,CDS (Investment Banking)

- Working Knowledge on IAS 39, 32, 37 and IFRS 7, 10

- Experience on cash flow analysis.

- TAC is the technical production arm of the global AC team

- 11 people, all qualified accountants, a lot of audit and PC experience

- We cover FICC & Equities technical accounting production to ensure disclosures are correct, mainly for Fair-Value multi-GAAP accounting, Own Credit, SPE collateral & SPE consolidation - the roles will rotate within the team at least once a year

- 100% production work – reviewing new structured debt issuances + database population controls + reviewing month-to-date movements + operating large spreadsheets + making journal postings + checking the ledger is correct

- Month-end role, not daily PL, so longer hours at month-end but not extremely long unless there is an emergency or accelerated close

- Steep learning curve as lots of systems and knowledge to learn quickly

- Speaking to daily PL teams, Financial Control teams & Regional Control teams

- Team leads – 50% reviewing and 50% production

- Team juniors – 100% production

The basic things we are looking for are in candidates :

- Either product control experience in a bank, or financial services audit experience

- Chartered Accountancy qualification

- Excellent written & spoken English skills

- Ability to do pivots & vlookups in large Excel spreadsheets

- An eye for detail i.e. double checking workings for obvious errors before sending it off for review

- Ability to work without constant management

- Happy to do a production role, not daily PL or commentary focused
