Manager - Taxation - CA - Consulting Firm (2-4 yrs)
Lead large indirect tax recovery assignments, including analysis and representation of client data, identifying typical tax issues, and determining applications of exemptions, rebates, etc.
Lead business development initiatives on target accounts, contributing to winning new work
Input into development of new market opportunities locally and nationally with an opportunity to lead the market development of the new ideas
Meet with clients to identify and discuss issues pertaining to Indirect Tax advisory
Conduct research on indirect tax issues and new indirect tax legislation
Liaise with tax authorities on client inquiries or issues
Prepare reports and opinions to clients related to Indirect Tax advisory
Prepare refund claims and submissions for tax recoveries to clients or government bodies
Proactively take relevant and valuable indirect tax ideas to clients to grow the existing practice
Contributing to enhancement of relationships with targets and clients
Build relationships at a senior level and be seen as a trusted business advisor
Participate in the development and delivery of training programs
Actively mentor and coach team members to their highest potential
Create a learning environment through leadership
Identifying cross service line opportunities
Contributing to existing team spirit and ensuring coming to work is fun
