Job Description:

- Success in this role will require proven professional skills in tax, both direct & service taxes.

- The role will require a combination of strong technical skills, business partnership and communication skills.

- Relevant years of working experience, previously with MNCs or Big 4 firm an advantage.

- Strong technical knowledge in the field of Direct Taxes (including International tax matters like tax treaties and Transfer pricing).

- Experience in M&A activities.

- Tax competencies through local tax experience- with a strong record of effectively working with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely, accurate and complete tax audit and closure on critical issues

- Experience in external engagement activities - regulatory change & reform, solid engagement with external consulting & advocacy groups, local level tax groups.

- Interpret and communicate regulations - evaluate and communicate changes, anticipate potential impacts on business, adhoc analysis to stakeholders, evaluation on compliance issues, M&A and new product activities

- Clear and proactive communication of complex tax regulations and impacts to key stakeholders on a timely basis

- Defining / driving internal processes for efficient tax compliance and identify control mechanism

- Basic knowledge on indirect taxes (Service tax & VAT)

- Good inter-personal and communication skills.

- Self-driven, proactive and process oriented

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

- Team player who would enable success through teams.
